One school either lost it or it was stolen and had to pay a lot of $ to replace it. This was several years ago.

Vista VS #8 El Camino
Vista opened the game with a successful onside kick, and although they were unable to get a first down it set the momentum for the rest of the game.
Vista scored on a fumbled punt return by El Camino, on a botched snap where an offensive lineman ran 35 or so yards for a TD, on a 4th and 2 play where they were just trying to get a first down but got a 30 yard TD run to the outside instead, on a 4 yard slant pass just inside the end zone, and on a 40 yard TD bomb. They also had their newest running back carry twice for 99 yards (not his only carries, just the best), both of which featured him breaking tackles and going into beast mode.
It was total domination.
Final Score -
Vista 38 El Camino 0

Final Score - Vista 38 El Camino 0 And keep in mind that going into the game, El Camino was ranked about 79 in the state and had a record of 5-1 with only a one TD loss to always powerful LCC! The only thing that did not happen to El Camino was a safety! Truly one of the most impressive wins by Vista in the 15 years that Erik and I have been doing Internet play-by-play of Panther games. Congrats to our Panther fans. It has been a while, but SD HS football is better when Vista is doing good.
