recruited by Horton- are we surprised we still can get WR's or TE's to commit to SDSU ? Until we start being a school that is actually led by its QB ?

This is a Horton guy. What a lot of people don't understand is that college coaches don't recruit based on their position, they recruit based on their assigned region. This guys was in Horton's region, and so that is who recruited him.

I put that it was Horton recruit . Does Horton still recruit Nevada or it is now Hunkie since he is from that area ? Know Horton has the Texas area and ?? . What is Hunkie 's area ? Interesting do not see Macklin's star level ,if that is important ? We did lose two WR's from the current class the 4* recruit(quit) and WR from Torrey Pines( injury -concussion ) . Wonder what WR's think about the QB situation at SDSU . ?

Doesn't look that elusive

Doesn't look that elusive No one said he was elusive. The 40 time doesn't measure someone's ability to be elusive. Speed and Elusive are two distinctly different traits. The guy is 6'5 and can run a 4.6. That is pretty damn good. Put some meat on him while he is here and he can be a pretty lethal jump ball wr and go up and bring down any ball.

Doesn't look that elusive If he was 6'5 and elusive he'd be a 4 or 5 star recruit

Doesn't look that elusive If he was 6'5 and elusive he'd be a 4 or 5 star recruit Well judging by the tall WR's we have recently had that haven't developed and can't get open I'm not encouraged.

Solid get. Camped at Mississippi st, and could be a kid who matures into a very good player. Size and speed is a great combo.

Doesn't look that elusive He's 6'5" and catches the ball at it's highest point, you don't need to be a burner when you can catch the ball over anyone on the field. There aren't Calvin Johnsons all over the HS circuit, gotta develop talent.

If he is 6'5, run a legit 4.5 - 4.6, and elusive he'd be a 4 or 5 star recruit.

Yea he has no ratings and only one other scholarship. The originalshow00 does not wonder why our passing game is struggling.Same with the QB recruiting. We might need to get 15 three star qb's to find 1.

Until we become a school noted for having a quality QB led offense , seriously doubt that we are going to get stud WR . Not going to happen . We are known as RB U and maybe FB U . That is why we have an abundance . Also need OL to let skill players do their thing . We tried with the 4* recruit this year and he quit .
In general we are a G5 school , primarily that is able to sign guys with a high ceiling , that we hope develop . We do not get the recruits that are going to excel . Seems we are trying to get guys that can run the routes correctly and then catch the ball . Also as we have seen not much can happen if we do not a solid OL or QB .

The only elusive guys we're going to get either want to play a different position in college than the big boys are promising or are shorter than 5'10. A 6'5 burner would use our interest letters as toilet paper.
