Disturbing to see how people recognize Obama is so timid and weak. We better rebuild capability again or get drawn into conflict in Asia.

Obama, no doubt believing that we have been on our high horse far too long, has deliberately ended America's leadership role in the world. How's that working out? The problem is that once you lose you status, it's hard to regain it. I'd rather have America preeminent. When others doubt the resolve of U.S. leadership, they are tempted to do bad things that they would not have done in the past.

You mean like attack our homeland and kill three thousand people?

You mean like attack our homeland and kill three thousand people? Well, yes, but that is not what I had in mind. Notice that Russia is now moving into the Middle East in a big way. I don't know about you, but I don't think that is good for the Middle East and not good for the U.S. Being preeminent in the world is good, not bad. What is bad is for our competitors/enemies to assume that the U.S. is so timid that it will do nothing, no matter how egregious the actions of the bad guys may be. (And, to be clear, we are seldom faced with a choice between doing nothing or going to war. That's one of the most unfortunate straw men being thrown around these days.) AzWm
