We need to rely on our superb secondary vs Cal & PSU. If we can hang into 3rd qtr. good things can happen. Believe it

Believe it If this year's edition manages to win both of these games it would definitely be a good thing but would be absolutely no indication of the rest of the season. That's Aztec football. A win against BYU and Utah sandwiched around a loss to UNLV, that's also Aztec football. This program has SO much work to do to win back a community. Yes, 30-35 thousand a game, on a good night, reflects near average attendance among mid-level programs. But the other programs already have stadiums to build on.

The Chargers will be in LA this time next year and SDSU will be en route to expanding campus and building a stadium. The university and football program have a bright future. Go Aztecs!

Hmmm Gulls Logo, looks like the Aztecs have a lot to win you back Looking forward to another fun year and seeing Pumphrey make some noise on the national level

Realistically they won't win those two but 10 wins is still possible. I don't know what you mean by "win back the community" we never had great support to lose. This has always been s pro football town. If chargers leave perhaps we pickup some of those. But the crowd is different between nfl and CFB

Power running game (with play action passes), eat the clock on offense with long scoring drives (keep Penn State's offense off the field), strong defense. The same recipe we used against Boise State.
We may have a chance, to keep it close, at least.
Oldie Out

I don't believe any of the Penn St hype and rest assured, it's going to get worse as game time approaches. I read the same sh it about UNC before we played them. Our team is not overmatched and they won't mail it in, so win or lose it'll be close.

We really should beat Penn State.
I expect a painful come from ahead loss in true Aztec football style, but I hope I am wrong.

Do agree we won't be overmatched nor will we "mail it in", but I do believe the 2015 PSU is better than the 2014 UNC teams if for no other reason than the most important position on the field.

That's true, but we hopefully have a much better QB too.
