I'm not surprised. He has alot of connections to bring in good players. Hopefully, if he sticks there, he'll refer some the gems to his Alma Mater.

Have you noticed what has happened with the absence of Tom at Mt. SAC? Even though they had a very strong team returning, they have fallen apart in the absence of Tom's play calling.
Even though the Riverside team is seriously short on talent, Tom might have them in the playoffs for the state championship AGAIN. From last to first in one season is a fantastic accomplishment.

Are you kidding? Mt. SAC is undefeated at 7-0, ranked #1, and averaging 40 points a game. They routed Tom's boys, 36-10. Where do you get this $#!+? sportsinfo.mtsac.edu/schedules/1011/footballm.htm

As for all this "lack of talent" Tom is turning into gold....I'd bet you dollars to donuts Joe doesn't know a thing about the Riverside JC football team, and has never been to a game.
No offense Joe, but cut the $#!+ dude.

No offense Joe, but cut the $#!+ dude. As silly as you are now pretending to be Josh, I do not understand what you think you are accomplishing. A major part of my life has been football. I love High School and College football and have been to thousands of games over the years. I have never been to a professional game in my life. I follow the kids as they improve and I love to see an excellent coach like Tom Craft develop them. I love seeing excellent teaching. Craft is excellence to the MAX. Yes, I have been to Riverside, and yes I have watched practice. And, yes, I have seen the same deliberate tutoring which is Tom Craft's style. He produces quarterbacks like no other coach in the history of college football. I watched him every year at Palomar. I watched him when he was OC at SDSU. I watched him at Mt Sac. He accomplishes miracles. So I pan the near loss of Mt SAC to Palomar. If Tom was coaching Mt SAC on offense, they would have destroyed Palomar. What is up with that? Remember, Mt SAC has at least nine guys on the team who are strongly projected Division One Transfers. Before Tom went there, they did not have that kind of talent. The high school grads who have dreams of College Ball, even though they were not recruited go to winning programs. Tom promised the Mt SAC head coach that he would give them a national championship and then move on. Well, he did as delivered. Mt. SAC has a damn good running game this year as a lot of running backs signed on with the school in hopes of getting Division One offers. (The Higher the visibility, the greater the potential offer.) Tom does not have that luxury at Riverside, It will take a couple of years for high school kids with dreams to realize that Riverside is finally playing winning football. A lot of them don't even know that it was Tom who made Mt SAC what they were.

I guess I should have clarified what I agree with in this post. The part that says Craft will most likely have them in the playoffs for the first time in eons. I think what Joe was saying is that MT. SAC's offense isn't what it was. I don't know this since I don't follow them anymore.

Mt SAC against Victor Valley last year. They lose a lot. Passing ........... Att-Cmp-Int Yds TD Long Sack -------------------------------------------- Nick Lamaison 38-27-1... 311... 1... 47... 0 Elijah Filifili ......8-4-0... 42... 0... 18... 1 Two Quarterbacks played in the game for Tom.
Mt SAC against Palomar Passing a sub .500 team. They lose a lot. ..........................Att-Cmp-Int Yds TD Long Sack -------------------------------------------- Nick Lamaison 36-18-0...265....3... 53... 1 .....Fifty percent pass completion percentage.
Josh, look at the difference between a Tom Craft coached team and a non Tom Craft coached team after some of the effect of Tom has worn off. Mt. SAC is not the same team. Loaded with talent, but obviously starting to falter. Riverside is so lacking in the caliber of talent that Mt SAC has, that it would be a reach for them to play Mt SAC in the Southern California Championship game, BUT it could happen.

Mt. SAC has been a very good program for some time.
