At one time Aztecs were also talking with another PF, Canadian Edward Ekiyor . Would not mind if Narain also put in a good word with other HS team mates Humphries 6'11" ( Aussie) and Cyrus ,SG .
As we have learned , would not fill up the 2016 allotment of scholarships (13) . Maybe hold one or two back just in case . transfers.. . Drastic need C/PF . Importance is quality Not quantity .
The next 3 weekends of AAU events should be interesting as the coaches are out evaluating talent .

I would think there is a pretty good chance Cyrus comes to SDSU. Former Torrey Pines player (so he know SD) and teammate of Narian are certainly factors that would help push him our way. Right now the recruiting forecast has him 77% with UNLV at 21%.

Here's what Scout.com is saying about Fraser. His stock has risen over the summer.
At around 6-foot-4 and possessing long arms, Fraser gets to the rim well and can even play some in a point guard role. While that won’t be his future, that will come as a playmaking wing, Fraser can handle pressure and is excellent when working with time and space off of ball screens.
On the defensive end of the floor Fraser shows significant potential. He has the ability to defend virtually any position one through four, and then also will rebound and push the break.

From Slam on-online:
Fraser has spent the last two years in the United States playing at Mount Mission and Southwest Christian Academy, but will play his senior year at The Hill Academy in his home of Ontario, Canada...
...Fraser said. “In past years when we came to tournaments, people took us as a joke and were like, ‘Who are these guys?’ But now, I consider ourselves a powerhouse where people are going for our heads and not us going for theirs. I believe all of Ontario is turning into a basketball place. Hockey is starting to slow down, especially in Ontario.”
...Because of his height and skill set that allows him to be a point guard, and play off the ball as well, Fraser already had some high Division I interest prior to the Summer Jam..
“I try to block out all the college coaches, so I can just concentrate on my team and myself individually,” Fraser said. “If you’re focusing on (the college coaches), it’s going to ruin your play. I like to keep the chemistry between my teammates.
“I have the most fun attacking and facilitating. I like getting my teammates involved in the game. Whenever I see my teammates thrive making threes whenever I penetrate and pass out, I feel happy for them. I enjoy that more than scoring ...
Fraser sounds solid to me. Perhaps worth an offer and to play along side of Narain.

Tony Bland has an eye for talent, And his last three offers are from DePaul, Memphis and GA Tech.

Fraser is Narain's AAU teammate and was linked to the Aztecs in a SD UT article. No offer from SDSU but plenty of interest from many schools. "At the moment, programs deep in the mix include the likes of USC, UNLV, Xavier, James Madison, Bradley, Northern Arizona, Georgia Tech, Memphis, Utah, Toledo, and Oregon State. With his first official visit set this weekend to Bradley, who seems to have put in the most time with the versatile guard, others potential visits could occur to Xavier, James Madison, and Minnesota come next month." hoopseen.com/index.php/news/headlines/item/3436-marquell-fraser-gains-steam-on-the-recruiting-front?utm_content=buffer3ddbd&utm_medium=social&utm_source=twitter.com&utm_campaign=buffer

That list of school makes me a bit suspect, obviously the Bradley's and James Madison's think they have a legit shot, and then you have the Big 10 and Pac 12 schools in the mix...so what is he? A High Major player or a low major player? Obviously the big schools see something in him that they like, and the small schools see something that makes them think he's their caliber player. I trust our staff, but this one's a bit perplexing.
