In 1968 the youthful cry was, "The Whole World is Watching! The Whole World is Watching! The Whole World is Watching! The Whole World is Watching!" during the Yippi protests at the Democratic National Convention. Police brutality was the norm in Chicago.
Now, the reality is "The Whole World is Bitching! The Whole World is Bitching" German Police State mentality is evolving.
The simple fact of the matter is that the dollar is too strong but Germany wants it to be stronger so they can sell more product in the US and the US can not sell product in other countries.

Joe, I am now the one-man truth squad looking over your shoulder. Point One: there was not unbridled police brutality against the protesters in Chicago in '68. You don't agree? Okay, answer this: How many protesters were killed and how many had serious injuries requiring lengthy hospitalization or surgery? The answer. . . . ZERO! (Now, how many SHOULD have been taught a lasting lesson is another question.) AzWm

AzWm I can not disagree with you, but severe police brutality was the norm in Chicago (my home town), and it has changed little in the past century.
