They have a long way to go. I expect very little the first year in any case. If the new coach is to turn that program around, the second year should see significant improvement, though maybe not too many more victories. The third year could be the breakthrough; if the Rebels reach six wins, the program could be on its way to continued success. If they are still winning only 3 or 4 wins in year three, then the same old story could be repeated.

Another Dee Hart. Both arrested for marijuana possession and both transfer from Bama to a MWC school.
Hart had a great season in 2014. Of course, if UNLV has an 11-win season in 2016, I'll eat my SDSU hat.

UNLV Football will always be an alternative place for second chancers to land...just like their basketball team.

Remember when we got that 5-star running back transfer from USC? A program changing event that sure was.

2014 = 10-2 2015 = 13-0
Chemistry! Lightning can strike anytime. Rocky says it's the players job to fire up. If Esprit should break out we or they might kick ass. Moving from HS to D1 is a small change compared to the dynamic of Esprit
RSVP El Cajones?

UNLV is perfect for him, he would not crack top 3 at State.

UNLV is perfect for him, he would not crack top 3 at State. So you're saying SDSU couldn't use a kid who was one of the top running backs in the country out of HS as well as a U. S. Army All American who got buried down the depth chart on a team that not only won a National Title his freshman year, but contended for another one his sophomore year? That's a pretty bold statement to make. I think every team in the MWC could use a guy like that. I'm glad he's a Rebel.

Arkansas for example didn't want him as a transfer, when out of high school he was their top candidate at RB. He will likley be a starter for UNLV and a good player. My comment was how he would fit in at State. He will sit for a year and then be eligible for 2016. If DP is back he will start. Then you have Stamps and Penny Among others, so no need for a scholarship for him. Think about the questions we have had about JR who was a former 4 star and highly recruited QB who is sitting 3rd on our depth chart.

Exactly we have one of the best backs in the country and Rashaad Penny should have a break out year he put up crazy numbers in high school.I've seen enough of Price so I have Stamps at third string and then Price and the redshirt freshman Walker.

Believe they could do basketball for both teams , but if they do football do they also have to the same amount for womens sports or is Title IX only CA?

Don't think CoA needs to match by gender/sport, only the athletic scholarship does to fulfill Title IX. Not 100% sure though. If it did I doubt any school would publicly state they will fulfill 98 men's & 15 women's total cost of attendance like they did.
T9 is national, not just CA.

I'm sure there will be a test but I fully expect schools to match money to women's sports dollar for dollar or at worst, sport for sport (since there's no corresponding women's football program I suspect some will try to get away with it). California State University programs are under CalNOW agreement and must provide equal funding at the male/female population delta regardless so we are forced to give more to womens sports because of their higher student population.
