I was watching the game and about under two minutes left when SDSU was down like 8 points, seems to me like when we inbound the ball into play and instead of the players letting the ball roll and saving some time yet we catch the ball and walk towards the middle of the court acting like the game is one possession or whatnot....WTF, most teams will let the ball roll to save some time and hurry the hell to the other end of the court and try to make a quick bucket....this team instead plays slow knowing they are down 3-4 possessions and looks lost or show no sign of trying to score quick

Being down 8 late in the game is like being down 28 to this team. They look beaten, and it clearly shows. Problem with this team is it is soft and lacks the pure toughness the previous Aztecs teams the past 5-6 years had. Sad, but true.

Exactly! yet fans still thinks this team is a locked for the big dance because it is their team/school. Its obvious that this team is soft and not as good as the hype persist. Im being a real fan and watch a lot of college basketball and this team gets a lot of respect from the media, other fans and national coverage. Maybe the attention got into their heads so I am happy they lost this game and lost the ranking comes monday so they can be level headed. Of course the die hard fans still thinks this team can complete with UK and Duke of the world.

Only way I feel this team "deserves" an NCAA Tournament berth is if they win their final 2 remaining regular season games to claim a share of the regular season title. At the very least, considering how incredibly bad this conference is this year. And even that might be pushing it. They may have to win 5 straight to truly deserve to get in. Very frustrating team this year to say the least. Very disappointing.

I'm not one to normally use Lunardi's bracket or opinions, but he thinks the Aztecs are in and now Boise has crossed from first 4 out to last 4 in ... according to him, the MWC has 3 in the tourney as of now.

WOW! if this conference gets three bids, it is a major respect given how crappy this season has gone so far with UNLV and UNM stinking the conference and the bottom 3-4 teams having bad RPI. Furthermore, in this conference the top 6 teams all have a chance to win the MWC tourney so let say if UNLV/WYO/FSU wins the auto bids - SDSU/BSU/CSU are in deep shiit! thats why this game was so important and it may come back to haunt them if they failed to win the tourney. Hate to be wrong and hoping that i am wrong.

Maybe so, but imo, the only way this team truly "deserves" to be in is if they win their final 2 regular season games to at the very least claim a share of the conference title. Especially with how down the conference truly is this year. Expectation's were raised high this year and for good reason. Not only because of the supposed "talent" level on this team, but for how down the conference truly was. Winning at least a share of the conference title should be the absolute minimum to say the least, imo. Otherwise, they don't belong in the field, imo.

It's March, and this team does not look prepared for March Madness. I'm not saying they won't get or even deserve a bid -- I think by all rights they do. But they don't have that "Eye of the Tiger" element going for them that you saw out of Boise tonight. It's getting awfully late to develop one.
On the other hand, teams on sudden hot streaks are what make March Madness what it is. It's grasping at straws, but that's the reality of this season that has had trouble staying on the tracks all year long. Sometimes, the breaks line up against you.

Some of your greatest hits (it's easy since you've only posted 29 times):: Whoa, this team is quiet an embarrassing and highly overrated. What the hell did JJ do to Fish to garner his role to be a starter. buckwheat polee needs to get his teeth fix to help his game, real talk this overrated team needs to lose everyone noticed since Fish signed that extension, team start playing like crap....you would hope they play better knowing he will be around for a while but I guess job security is/what matter most NIT but this year MWC is a one bid team and it is whomever wins the MWC tourney unless someone gets ranked and stay there for the duration of the season. you guys still high on this team, just be realistic. Here is my prediction: Loss: @unlv @csu @wyo @bsu @unm home loss: CSU UNLV so 7 losses in conference but that is just my opinion given the way they played recently and cant shoot. real talk....would be miracle if this team win 20 to keep the streak alive, mosy overrated team in sdsu history....ws13 probably the biggest joke to come to the mesa,..... and dont talk about jj, he must have please fisher off the court or something Just my 2 cent so hate all you want: - JJ just by looking at him, u get a sense hes the pot head type and based on his plays, - Kell see above comment on JJ, - polee, see above

Teams better than a 9 seed that have lost one or more games in the last 4 days (most to teams not as good as Boise):: North Carolina, Northern Iowa, Arkansas, West Virginia, VCU, Georgetown, Providence, Oklahoma State, Michigan State, Indiana, Ohio State, Xavier, Ole Miss

Quick question for you: With as bad as the conference truly is this season, don't you feel that SDSU(or any team for that matter) would have to at the very least win a share of the regular season conference title to deserve a chance to go dancing? Otherwise, would you not agree they would have to win the conference tournament to go dancing? Seems like a fair assessment to me. Especially with how down the conference truly is this season.

Again, this is when the worst posters in Aztecmesa come out, after tough losses. These posters are most charitably characterized as emotional infants. At worst, they are ignorant, they lack perspective, they misinterpret pretty much everything that doesn't conform to their biases, and they couldn't analyze their way out of a paper bag. If these posters had any sense of decorum or self-awareness they wouldn't post for 24 hours after a loss; better yet, they wouldn't post at all.
Best to accept it, ignore them, and move on.
