It was a frustrating game. We had it up until 11 minute point in second half. We stopped making shots and could not get the offensive boards. They made shots, free throws and took care of the ball. This one will piss me off for quite some time. It ruined my night that's for sure. A very frustrating game, especially obviously the 2nd half but we wasted all kinds of opportunities to go way up in the first half with giving up all the offensive rebounds. The terrible shooting is painful to watch also, that game was rough man. The Bronco's packed the paint with 4 guys on every shot attempted by SDSU. They had The AZTECS outnumbered and made it very difficult for any second chance points! If SDSU is going to beat Boise St. they are going to have to make more than 28% of their shots!

said this all year...when you play tough defense, create turnovers, the reward is getting the ball to the gurad in the center of the court, filling the lanes, running the ball down the opponents throat.scoring quick...or teach the big men to post up..not looking for your point guard to walk the ball up the court and start the dribble dribble dribble offense....This team has the talent to transition quick,,,,,but...coaches do not know how to teach it.... when compared to past teams, this squad does not have the same ball handling ability to convert turnovers created by the defense into fast break/transition baskets. How do they compare to X, Tapley, Jamal, Rahon, Billy White, Thomas, Kawhi, DJ Gay, Richie, Brandon, Slaughter, Abukar in ability to get out on a break and finish at the rim.

That's also what I saw, they were pretty much camping there. We played into their game plan.

Offensive rebounding
Boise State rebounded 45.0% of their misses in the first half. Boise State rebounded 23.1% of their misses in the second half.
The reason they got 45.0% in the first half had nothing to do with heart or hustle. It had to do with luck. The Aztecs had great position on all those rebounds and even had the most often bounce position covered. The ball didn't cooperate. It seemed to bounce right to the only Boise State player in the area. In was a fluke.
Hustle There were 4 times the arrow was used during the course of play. Each of the 4 were at the Boise State side of the floor. That doesn't happen for a team that isn't hustling. The Aztecs played great defense all game. They held Marks to his worst offensive game of the year. They fouled too much in the second half, but it wasn't because of a lack of hustle.
Fans It seems everything the team does in a loss is seen as negative by some fans. There are areas the Aztecs played below the level they needed to to win but that doesn't mean every single area was bad. They played hard. They defended extremely well.

I'd say they defended pretty well with the exception of Webb III. He shouldn't be able to "shoot" 60% and score 16 points in Viejas! JMO

His eFG%, in MWC games, is 66.4%. His eFG% Saturday was 65.0%.
