Any Arizona player bugs me. McConnell bugs me the same way Aaron Rodgers bugs me...cocky. He is a punk.

I believe McConnell is a son of a basketball coach. So that kind of explains his cockiness. We would love him if he played for us, but he is very hateable as an opposing player.

The Aztecs could very easily face Arizona or Gonzaga in the West Regional this year, (hopefully both!)
I don't think there is much difference between the three teams. Gonzaga might be the best of the three at this point with their senior guards, (since they went to OT on the road against UA). The game today could have gone either way, and I really doubt if Arizona would have won today if the game had been in Spokane. The Zags might even move up a little in the polls this week. I'm with you. Impressive they took the Cats to OT in their house. Again free throws played a major role. Hopefully our guys can improve

The thing this game said to me is this: Kentucky remains absolutely dominant at the top and that the contenders for #2 are far below. I know this is not a 'general hoops' board, but just to put this game in context (#3 v. #9), the game play is far, far below Kentucky. I thought pre-season that Zona was the one team that could compete with Kentucky, but now think not. Zona, Zags, Wisconsin, Louisville, SDSU, a few others are all in the pool for top ten-ish type of years. Texas is really good, and huge. And although they kind of hung in, Kentucky was dominant. Sorry, I know this is about Zona and Zags, about which I will say, Zags are a better scoring team than I thought and Zona is less athletic than I thought, but the real story is who will line up in the 2-9 type of spots for the rest of the year. We certainly will, I think.

He is indeed. He's a twit and a punk. It's his face, his attitude... oh, I don't know, just so many things. Don't worry, you're not alone. He did quite a bit of posturing during the game and after AZ beat us in the NCAA tourney last year. In today's game vs. Gonzaga, he was much the same, flexing and running his mouth after hitting shots, and then looking dumbfounded when the refs called him for a foul (numerous times). He also stuck around after the game to "pump up the crowd," but to me, it was his moment to ham it up and gain more attention. And, in case anyone missed it, he was blowing kisses to the crowd (presumably Aztec fans that were giving him a hard time) after returning to the bench in Maui during our tournament...the cameras stayed on him a while and I'm surprised the announcers didn't mention it. He's cocky, immature, and annoying. Call me old fashioned, but I don't like when any athlete makes a fool out of himself; i.e. ridiculous talking, posturing, flexing, etc. I always love when they do all that and then they miss a shot - where is it then? Before I get flamed for seemingly "hating" emotion and charismatic leadership, just know that I don't hate all outward displays of emotion. I just prefer that athletes handle themselves the way X did, the way Kawhi did, etc.

Really? ANOTHER "oracle" handle on AM? What is that now, three? Four? And all refer to themselves in the 3rd person? [eye-roll] Azson must admit The Oracle(s) are quite a hoot. I do have a word for 'em, but it ain't "hoot."

The offensive one of whom you write was observed in Maui to "wave off " a foul call as he parked himself on the bench. Camera caught him but not the refs, I was hoping for a "T"! Damn it!

When McConnel is on the court he looks a lot like the kid on "Hoosiers" who never plays but ends up hitting a couple of foul shots to help the team advance in the playoffs.
Arizona had some issues hitting foul shots and finishing at the rim last night. Sounds a bit familiar, eh?
