The NCT editorial staff is NOT left leaning but decidedly on the right of center. That said, I must agree with them. This immensely important issue has been completely sold out to the special interests both within and without. The politicians have shown that they are completely bought and paid for by the insurance and drug industries. The American People be damned. My personal physician, who is a proponent of a single-payer system, is so pissed off at this piece of crap. He said that the current bill won't hurt him but will be harmful to his patients. I am so disappointed. I, naively, thought we had a real chance to clean up the cesspool that is our current health-care system.

There just has to be some political fallout from this bill. How can we not in Nebraska or Louisiana be expected to pay through our taxes for the votes of Landrou and Nelson?

Well, we agree to disagree about one thing. =Bob has chided me, a Republican, for taking the NC Times instead of the SD Onion, with the taunt that the NC Times had a left leaning editorial staff. When it comes to their National Columnists for the right, they offer the Buckley-esque George Will (who can't even get chased off ABC for the positions he takes) and Palin-Hater Kathleen Parker. If there is somebody else on the right for their National Columnists, they are not household names, that is for sure.
But then they roll out lefists Cocco, Cohen, Goodman and the lesser know but rabid pro-immigrant, GOP hating Schumacher-Matos regularly.
