Following the developments in the SLTRIB, Utah has already expressed a desire to join the division that includes SOCAL schools USC and UCLA. (As the new kid on the block there's no guarantees). Now today's TRIB has a piece that recalls part of the reason for the creation of the MWC was to limit regular season football games to Saturday. Utah has been advised they will play games on other days of the week, (Thursday's and Friday's), as needed for the exposure. Ultimately, I know Utah will do whatever it takes, (it is about the big bucks and the big time), but this appears to be an example of what happens when you become a small fish in a big pond..

Yeah & they will be playing BB on Sunday because the pac# generally plays Thursday & Sunday road trips.

After four years in the Pac 12, Utah will have come to seriously regret the move. Watch and see.

If Jim "Boilin' Mad" Boylen survives his last MWC BB season then look for him & his Yoots to become the pacfudge's spankboys! I'll bet he doesn't get away with anymore "Steals"! Assclown, how could you not man up & admit you F'd up!

Right now, I'm impressed by them. As somrone said earlier, let's see in four years. I still think they will be in the upper half though.

I know, you have been conditioned for far too may years into nothin' but. Still, the reality is that with Boise State, TCU, and a revised SDSU, we will have three teams who will consistently be in the top twenty in football next season and beyond.

Quite true, but I did not intend to disrespect the MWC, though I can see how you may have interpreted by post as such. I'm just saying that being in the PAC is a huge prize for Utah and they are unlikely to wish they had not taken the step. (Now, as for BYU, they may indeed decide that they screwed up, but that's a different story.) AzWm

You too can learn to speak in JOCtalk. You'll be an instant hit, with your jocoseness, jocularity, jock-itch, and jocky-speed. Heck, I use it extensively and it makes revenue agents, english teachers, and the usual varmits' heads explode. Sign up for a free $999 webinar, and do it now! Half down, half in ten days and half before taking the final.
Everyone needs to speak JOC.
Cash is accepted, ta-boot.

They will have a great shot at winning their division next year (in football). With USC on probation, I don't think they'll be allowed in the Pac-12 championship game, so Utah should be able to beat out UCLA, Arizona, ASU, and Colorado.

Who cares about Utah? Why do we care how they will do? They bring nothing to the PAC10, but more desert.
I predict that they will quickly sink to the bottom half of the conference when they are exposed to the brutal conference schedule.
I will appear in Husky stadium when they arrive. Why waste all of those nasty insults, gained over decades of animus for them while in the WAC and MWC? ;D

Someday USC will rebound, of course, but UCLA seems stuck where we have been for a long time, and I don't see any of the other southern division Pac schools poised to become another Florida or Ohio State. The Utes should be competitive. Their recruiting will improve, and it's already good. AzWm
