The true test of their "power" will be on 10/23 (@den).

Deservedly so. 17 is playing at an MVP level and should be the clear-cut MVP if the season ended today. Handled the Seahawks, should be undefeated if not for some questionable playcalls and strategic decisions in the Cardinals game. This team has a different vibe to it, in my opinion. The injuries have been brutal, but it's next man up. There is a certain toughness to the squad that has been sorely lacking.

What's lost in all of the (deserved) Rivers talk is how the D is playing: 2nd in NFL passing YPG and 9th in rushing. Rivers is playing well enough to overshadow all of the O-injuries, but D really needs to stay healthy to have a shot at going far in the playoffs.

It really helps their efforts when Rivers and the offense hold the ball and win the time of possession. The draft pick Verrett looks pretty good and Freeney, Ingram and the rest of the front seven are putting the heat on the QB. Weddle is having another Pro Bowl season.

Sorry, not when you only beat the Raydas by 3 points.

Why is it that the Bolts can't put those bozos away as bad as they were? Road games in Oakland always suck!

Same reason why Denver struggled to put away the woeful Jets. Welcome to the NFL. It's called parity. Motivation, scheduling, travel. It's not just show up and win because you have more talent. Seattle lost to a team at home that last year was one of the worst defenses in the history of the NFL. No style points are awarded. Beat the Chiefs, don't get caught looking ahead to a short week showdown with Peyton.

Sorry, not when you only beat the Raydas by 3 points. This was the Raiders' Super Bowl - and also a game I've seen the Bolts lose many times. I look at this win in the polar opposite of you: character-defining in a game that had all the past telltale signs of a Charger loss.

Just saw this stat on Rivers: first QB in NFL history to have 5 consecutive games of 120+ QBR (Unitas & Warner each had a 4-game streak), he's on quite a roll...

Not #1 anymore. Can't stop the run or the read option passes by Smith. Defense sucked today!

That was a pretty brutal game as KC dominated time of possession.
And yet we still almost won. We won five in a row, and in the NFL that's huge. Let's see where the team goes from here.

Home field is everything! Now they have to beat K.C. in their stadium!
