Whoever is making the trip down, a couple quick tips
-If you are trying to buy booze, it is not like CA. If you want beer, a grocery store is fine, but if you want alcohol, you have to go to an ABC store, similar to Marine Corps bases. There are none directly in DT Chapel Hill. You may just have to google the locations to find your nearest one.
-Always put it in a cup, and don't show your stash.
-There are places that are Chapel Hill must-do's. As basketball fans, you need to see the Carolina Basketball Museum. It's free (donations accepted) and it is amazing. You need to go to He's Not Here and get a Blue Cup. It's just a big cup of beer, but it's always a nice souvenir to have. Friday night at the Carolina Inn has live music and is a good time. I know we are meeting at R & R Grill, but it ends at 8:30, check it out. Top of The Hill's outdoor seating is pretty cool, and they have a decent in-house brewery. It overlooks the main intersection of town. Old Well, it's a major symbol of the University, in the middle of campus. Good place for a photo (with an Aztec flag, cough, cough). There is a campus tour, and with the rich history of the University, it's actually pretty cool for even non-students/alums. If you are in town on Friday at 3pm, there is a tour. Google "Priceless Gem Tour", again, it's free.
-The waitstaff only gets $2.50/hr. Please consider this when you are tipping.
-On gameday you can take a picture with the mascot, Ramses, a real Horned Dorset Sheep, with its horns painted blue. It's location is usually at the big Bell Tower that you will see when you get near the stadium. Pretty cool if you are bringing kids.
-There are people who ask for money on Franklin Street. By law, they can do that, but they cannot follow you. They know that, so if need be, remind them, they usually stop.
This Aztec welcomes you to Carolina! See you at the tailgates!

Good luck during the game from a Tar Heel fan. Hopefully the ones coming will enjoy the trip to the east coast. I hope for a well played and injury free game. Safe flights for all.

Treat it like the Missouri game. Oldie Out Minus that one play at the very end Translation: Minus a hometown official who was either blind, incompetent or had Missouri on the money line.

BTW, how do we keep the Tarfoots QB in the pocket and make him beat us with his arm?? You play a zone and rush 3, one bull rush in the middle with the ends just establishing and edge.

Hope you have a great time in Chapel Hill. Looking forward to a great game. Glad it is at 8 pm as it is still very hot in NC in early September. Another must if one gets the chance is a burger at Sutton's Drug Store. Best in Chapel Hill! GO HEELS!!

Drug store that sells burgers....interesting Oh you kids. No appreciation for history. There was a time when every major drug store had a lunch counter with a fry cook/soda jerk. They usually made great burgers and the best milk shakes in the world. Then came Jack in the Box, McDonalds, etc. and all was lost. On another point. We seem to have a batch of Tar Heels posting here this week. So far there hasn't been a troll among them. What a nice change of pace from the UNM crowd.

Hoping to meet up (Thursday night) with any Aztecs at Bailey's Sports Pub which is just a half mile from our hotel (Residence Inn---Erwin Road) near campus. Friday night we start at R and R and hoof it from there. Go Aztecs!
