I don't mean today is different than yesterday. I mean yester years are now different than they were a few years ago. The article linked below is from James Hansen in 1999. www.giss.nasa.gov/research/briefs/hansen_07/He said things in that article that he now says is wrong. He not only says his conclusions are wrong, he says his data is wrong. I guess temperatures during the 1930s recently changed. Notice that his data shows 1934 0.6 degrees above 1998 temperature data. Now his data shows 1998 above 1934 for US temperatures. It also shows extreme cooling from the 1930s to 1980. Now it shows that period with a fairly flat trend. Fraud. This post and the current "data" is all a fair minded person should have to see to be convinced. Knowing what Hansen believes helps too. He is an extreme environmentalist who wants us all to live in farming communes. He is fully in charge of all NASA temperature data. I am thankful we have satellite data. Too bad it doesn't cover a longer period so warmists like Hansen couldn't fake past data. satellite data begins in the late 1970s right after years of cooling.

New York Times Tuesday June 29, 1976: Cool periods produce greater climatic instability. Climate events are then more extreme.
Interesting.
