At the Q, the sidelines are on the North and South. This way would be East and West. Interesting.

A conversion center Annex? Sounds so WWII.
Chargers are desperate - Comic Con and other conventions have already said they need contiguous space, so other than getting in on the tax this accomplishes what? S dungeon under the stadium, nice, great forward thinking.

The "contiguous space thing is an canard meant to preempt any discussion of an effort to combine stadium development with convention center expansion. Other locales need contiguous space because it's either stupid HOT(LV), Stupid COLD (Chi) or stupid Rainy(SF). The bottom line is this discussion should be what is best and most cost efficient for the city and not who gets to control the toys. Here's the real: Both the bigass convention center and the bigass stadium are bigass, expensive buildings that will be utterly and completely freakin' EMPTY for about 300 days/yr. Now I don't know about you but to me, spending a bunch of money to build TWO bigass empty buildings is approximately twice as stupid as building ONE Bigass empty building and making the kids share.

Goodness, I never thought about this. Thank you so much for sharing about these meetings. I simply love to go to these gatherings and loves services of convention center and rooms they enlist for occasion.
