Keep an eye out for 6'7" 185 SF Tim Harrison out of Francis Parker HS. He is a SD native with high interest levels across PAC12, WCC, MWC schools as well as, the Midwest. TJ Leaf, MJ Cage and Zach Collins are getting press right now, Harrison may also be an option at SF/PF for the Aztecs. sandiegostate.scout.com/a.z?s=356&p=8&c=1&nid=7283183

Gotta love this, Tim Harrison from Frances Parker HS in SD is wearing a USC jersey behind a USC banner. I guess he wants to be a Trojan. The crystal ball predicts 100% U Dub. 247sports.com/Player/Tim-Harrison-38406

FROM RIVALS 12/27/2014 "...Finally, the other player that we wanted to see in San Diego early Friday was junior four man Tim Harrison. Checking in at around 6-foot-7 or 6-foot-8, he is a thin power forward at San Diego (Calif.) Francis Parker. A three-star prospect, Harrison runs well is a good enough athlete and looks like he has some touch. Early foul trouble and a guard dominated game kind of limited him but the overriding thought from watching him is that he has to be more physical on both ends of the floor. Strength will come with physical maturity, but physicality and toughness are a mindset. Harrison's already solid recruitment will be even more interesting if he can unleash his inner pit bull..."
He has offers from UNM Lobonation, U Dub and UNLV. He also took unofficial trips to see the Zags, Cal and to Palo Alto. A backyard kid, couldn't be that bad if he has offers from those 3 schools.

Why is SDSU not on him? Sounds like our prototype wing player.

We have always been on him but I believe he was being led in a different direction....

Sucks for the kid. As much as I complain about our players playing out of position, fish is the best at improving his players.

I know nothing about this specific player, so please don't read anything into my comments...
Fisher values ability as much as chemistry, attitude, scholastic ability, drive, defense, etc. That being said, there may be a reason why there is/isn't an offer on any certain player. Fisher has gone on the record as saying that a number of very high quality players wanted to either come here or transfer here but he (pulled a UNLV and) passed on a variety of players for various reasons.
Again, I know nothing about this player but trust coach Fisher and his team.

Can he shoot? Can he finish around the rim?

Can he shoot? Can he finish around the rim? See - you're already advocating recruiting players that are obviously outside our system...

Harrison is a tweener that is probably more suited to play PF, I'm not sure he is going to be much of an offensive player at next level, and he isn't a explosive athlete. Definitely not someone if SDSU did take that would get much playing time as a freshman.

Good points. Maybe similar situation to the kid who committed to Fresno state. Forgot his name but was the same size and Hugh on sdsu but fish passed on him.

The Aztecs coaches need to investigate TH very closely. Would HATE to see another "Jared Dudley" go elsewhere for lack of local love!

The Aztecs coaches need to investigate TH very closely. Would HATE to see the next "Jared Dudley" go elsewhere for lack of local love! From rivals recap of Adidas Gauntlet:"... A recent addition to the Rivals150 in 2016, 6-foot-8 forward Tim Harrison can stretch defenses with his shooting. However, to truly unlock his potential he'll need to use his athleticism and length to his advantage and become more of a force on the glass and around the rim.... (CAL) Cuonzo Martin and Stanford's Johnny Dawkins were among those watching Harrison..."

Per Rivals . Tim feels his college education is very important . Getting recruited strongly by Stanford and CAL . Plus the Ivy League schools and GA Tech .

Anyway, parents who pay $30,000 a year for their child's high school education usually want them to go to a top-tier academic school.
