You have to wonder what the deniers believe as motive for the worldwide conspiracy of scientists... I wonder, anyway.
I have yet to hear a rational argument against America posturing and spending to ensure we are at the forefront of renewable energy technologies. If Republicans have their way and renewables become China's industry, we are fuxked in the long term.

Renewable clean energy is a very important goal in the long run, but it can not be at the expense of higher food costs or killing cheaper sources of energy that we have at our fingertips. Most importantly it can not be driven by the false idea of global warming. Get real and get solar and wind for the right reasons at the right price and you will have less resistance. It will also mean that if by some thin chance that the chicken littles are right, we will have developed the these alternate sources of energy anyway.

Those costs pale in comparison of the costs of doubling the cost of energy. That is the path we are taking - for no good reason.
That report makes a lot of assumtions and never considers the positives. Generally a warming planet has lead to increased not decreased wealth.
