riskybusiness.org/More people taken in by vast, global conspiracy of scientists looking for grant money. Or maybe not. Grant Money is the carrot and peer pressure is the stick that gets a few scientists to play along. The driving force is power by the government. The solutions to global warming will always be more government power. Fracking for Natural Gas in the US has reduced our CO2 usage over the past years. But those who greatly fear Global Warming, also hate fracking. That is because it doesn't lead to the right type of solutions - it cuts government out of the mix.

Grant Money is the carrot and peer pressure is the stick that gets a few scientists to play along. The driving force is power by the government. But those who greatly fear Global Warming, also hate fracking. That is because it doesn't lead to the right type of solutions - it cuts government out of the mix. People are concerned about fracking, not because it is the wrong kind of solution, but because they are not sure the problems brought about by fracking are not worse than the solution. The problems with water pollution, and now it seems earthquakes, have not been addressed. It has always been the habit of the energy business to pass the costs downstream and not recognize them is the price of their product. There are unintended consequences to all big decisions. As I recall you work for CSC. They are a huge government contractor. Over 4 trillion in business. Yet you say you are down on government. Don't bite the hand that feeds you, Bill.
