What growing govt. spending and deficits mean.

Basically, such trends mean trouble. The problem is that the current party in power seems not to be troubled by what many economists see as an increasingly ominous economic future for this country.

I see this as an attempt to twist arms of Dems to get his agenda passed even at the expense of lots of the Dems who will vote for this and then be thrown out of office next election. I am becoming more convinced that Obama does not care about a second term, but just wants to get as much of his destructive agenda passed before he is thrown out on his butt.

You are probably correct. But you can't beat something, even if that something is way below par, with nothing. Right now the GOP does not have a rising star, someone who might upset Obama's apple cart.

Palin? Nope. She will not be President, and if the GOP is smart she will not get the nomination, either. She would be smart to run for Senator.

I don't think you need much of a star now that Obama has been exposed. I do think you are right about Palin, but would you like her out stumping for you?
