Hey I have noticed that the "tea party" crowd and people in line to get books signed by Sarah Palin, appear to me at least, to be 99% white people. Kind of like when Palin said that the everyday folk of Wasilla were where the "real" America is. How can anybody in 2009 America expect to win anything with a base composition like that?

Considering the country is 70% white, you can win quite a few elections. But then again, that's not what you mean. What you really mean to say is that Palin specifiacally and conservatives generally are racists. You're an asshole.

AFAN...you don't change do you? Simple question and observation. Pretty easy to call someone an asshole when you don't have to look them in the face isn't it? Know how much talent it takes...exactly zero. I won't drop to your level.

Actually, it YOU and your ilk that will never change. Are you so godamn obsessed with race that when you look at news coverage you count how many white people there are? There's only one reasoin for doing so and thats to confirm your asinine belief that conservatives are racist. To which I say: YOU are an asshole!

In the words of "Rodney (La Pinata) King", Can't we all just get along? I bet that you two could find some common ground if you met in person. I get along with Bob Forsythe in person.

If your ...errr. point...wasn't about race than why even mention it? You don't give a crap about what anybody thinks about you (on a virtual Web platform)? Then.....what makes you think that others care what insults you throw around (for a few years now) I mean seriously AFAN, did you read what you just said??. My point was about demographics only. To the casual viewer, it looks like America 30 years ago. I would think that if you are trying to evoke change, you will need to expand the Demographic.

Answer me this...How many people would turn out to a book signing from the most powerful woman in the Democrat party - Nancy Pelosi? And add to that - at those book signings, what would the demographics be? Allow me to answer before someone lies - Those book signings would be poorly attended and, if attended at all, would be attended by an extreme minority made up of liberal fruits and nuts. An extreme minority is a extreme minority, regardless of skin color. And if you don't quite comprehend the situation, Palin's book signings are not election caucuses but are ways for Palin and her publisher to make loads of money. And with that money, the publisher will produce more conservative books and Palin will become something more that what the left can deal with - an empowered, conservative woman and a political force that will encourage other conservative women to enter the political fray. "Color" me not bothered by the skin color of Palin's book signing crowd but encouraged by their political orientation and their willingness to be politically active. In fact, I bet the crowds have no illusions on Sarah's ability or inability to win in 2012 but just know that the liberal elites hate her and they relish in shoving that elitist arrogance back down their throats by buying her book and giving her a good showing. The key to Obama's election was his ability to fool independents (white ones being the critical ones) into thinking that he wasn't George Bush and a centrist. Now the public (including white independents) see that he is as big of an incompetent as George Bush was, if not more, and an extreme liberal besides. Even if the false premise saying that white voters represent a minority in the electorate where true, the combination of all conservatives (remember there are minorities who are social conservatives too) with the preponderance of white independents, the GOP will have a winner. The political alignment of the planets seen in 2008 are never to be seen again, so the left is now relegated to Jesse Jackson-esque race baiting attacks, not only against the politicians they oppose, but against their fellow citizens who are refusing to drink the leftist Kool-aid. And by the way, why not have a brain for yourself as opposed to simply repeating the crap put out by the leftist media (That is to say - Chris Mathews and crew who first commented on the racial make up of Sarah's book signings)?

I hope you are not talking about UWAztec. He is for the most part pretty cordial and does at least listen to Conservative ideas. Afan is also a thinking man, but both of them have somehow come unglued on this thread.
