How long before people recognize a political farce disguised as a debate over something real? Cycles people, just cycles. Climate scientists will continue to push it since there is no reason to fund them without a crisis. The liberal press will continue to push it since the solutions are things they want anyway. The UN will continue to push it since they see it giving them power. The liberal politicians will continue to push it for a number of reasons: Votes, power, money. Many liberals will contine to believe because it validates their general belief that man is bad. Truth will prevail.

Liberals (bad) and conservatives (good)... and nothing else. / a black and white world view. Man can certainly be bad for the environment. Man can also be ignorant. Ever been to Lagos, Nigeria, the slums of Manilla, China, and on and on. You know that if New Orleans had not cleared all the dunes and associated maritime vegetation, it would have provided a buffer against much of the damage of Katrina. Know what cause the "Dust Bowl"? Drought combined with POOR Farming techniques. The Government sent in a team of experts to save the farming community from their own vicious cycle. There are thousands of examples. With all do respect, your basic arguments are boring.

Much warmer than it has been since.

Absolutely since they are unrelated, except for saying my basic arguments are boring. That is clearly false

The Decline of Tornado DevastationSo far in 2014, the United States has experienced fewer tornadoes than in any year since record-keeping began in 1953, or even before. Greg Carbin, a meteorologist with the Storm Prediction Center of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, has called this "likely the slowest start to tornado activity in any year in modern record, and possibly nearly a century." New peer reviewed paper talks about sea level rise. Abstract: Present-day sea-level rise is a major indicator of climate change. Since the early 1990s, sea level rose at a mean rate of ~3.1 mm yr−1. However, over the last decade a slowdown of this rate, of about 30%, has been recorded. Tornadoes down Sea Level Rise down We are all doomed, I tell ya.

Bill, maybe you could answer this question for me. Why can't you find any climate change "deniers" among the Inuit? These are indigenous peoples of the polar regions who depend on the movements of wildlife for subsistence each year. These movements are based on the extent, and timing, of yearly ice formation and average temperature. Opinions of the Inuit are not based on science, but from what they see, and experience, on the ground. The opinions are also based on anecdotal evidence passed down from elders. These peoples survival depends on the surrounding environment, so they would naturally be more attuned to dramatic changes than the basic armchair 'denier". [mod's note: Post deleted. I don't like banning anyone, but in this case it would be labor intensive to have to read all his posts and delete the objectionable ones.

And here we go again. Bill, the dilettante who sits on his fat ass at home looking for energy funded sources who support his arguments instead of actually getting out in the field to make his point, is once again arguing something that is completely outside his field.
Bill, you are basically a fool. You offer nothing more than links written by energy industry hacks. If you really want to impress us, get off your pathetic ass and offer us some field work. Of course you won't do that because you are old and have never engaged in field work IN YOUR LIFE.
You are seriously without a farking clue. The best you can offer are websites paid for by energy companies because you do not understand field work. I suppose that's typical of a lit prof, but really, do you expect us to believe anything you offer?
What a fool.

If the science is settled we should stop wasting money studying it. Seems like a good place to start cutting the budget. Climatologists would then be freed up to pursue other equally rigorous sciences like astrology, alchemy and phrenology. After all, I think the "moon in the 7th house" problem needs more attention paid to it. The lead into gold thing shows some promise and the expertise they have developed determining the earth "temperature" to 1/10 of a degree simply by looking at a tree ring or two should be useful in reading the bumps on a persons head.

I didn't have to read too far to recognize =Bob. Funding? Really? The Government spends $2.1 Billion a year pushing this scam. They cut the funding of any scientist that dares speak the truth.
