Obama's Afghanistan hesitation is causing problems

By hesitating so long, Obama is making the Afghanistan situation even more troubling. When David Broder says this you know we are in trouble.

At the end he says "If you can't afford to lose then pay to win" or words to that effect. Can we afford to lose? Are we now playing to win?

Right now Obama is voting "present." As a national leader, he is becoming more and more a disappointment. Perhaps even as disappointing as Clinton, a man who wasted his great political gifts on trivial post-adolescent fooling around.
