The damned thing would not have been so bad had the score been tied at the end of three quarters. We would have been hugely disappointed to lose at the end, but we knew that Wyoming was good enough to put up a fight. It's the way we lost that is so crushing.
Will the FB program be canceled? Not in the next several (3-5) years, but this constant decline cannot go on indefinitely. Hoke was out-coached last night, there is no other way to explain it. We know we do not have the horses yet, but we thought the bad coaching was finally behind us.
The Aztecs never beat a team they have no business beating, and they frequently struggle or actually lose to teams much worse than them. What a concept!
I just hope we see some improvement in the last two games. Recruiting, which the Wyoming game doubtless made more difficult, will be even more problematic if we do not.
I still feel that many die-hard Aztec fans do not realize how much it will take just to consistently finish at .500 year in and year out. I don't see any breakthroughs before 2011, and maybe not until 2012. By breakthroughs, I mean 7 or 8 wins in the regular season and close finishes against TCU, etc.

I am still not over it! How can the ball bounce so wrong? Hoke should have had 11 RBs and WRs on the field when that late kick-off fumble happened. That was an easy call that he missed. AzWm

AzWm I was trying to watch on my computer in a remote area out of town.... wasn't that a tight end that dropped the ball? I would think that a tight end should be considered "good hands"... please correct me if I am mistaken....
