Big win for the Chargers Thursday night, Ryan Matthews carried the offense with 126 yards and the Defense shut down Peyton Manning and the Bronco Offense in the 4th Quarter.
Chargers are now poised to take a wild card spot IF they can beat Oakland and KC at home. At least the rest of the season will mean something. Who knows? The Chargers are healthy and playing good, and they have shown they can beat some of the better teams in the NFL, on the road.

Hopefully.
New England needs to return the favor that SD just did for them. They face both the teams ahead of the Chargers for the 6-seed in the next two weeks. In addition to beating KC and OAK, SD needs MIA to lose two and BAL to lose 1. If the Dolphins manages to beat NE in Miami this weekend, it will all but mathematically shut the Chargers out of the playoffs (it would leave SD needing Miami to lose to both Buffalo and NYJ. Much better to have them lose to NE and hope that one or the other can manage a win against the fins).

I realize Aztecs are first priority on this board and so be it, but it has been one SWEET week. Beating both Manning brothers, as hard as it was to find any pub on the Giants game, I enjoyed watching the Bronco's highlights OVER and OVER again, having my coffee as I tried to remain gainfully unemployed on yon computer. Two points however. First, living in SLC, whether the team stays in San Diego, moves to LA or San Antonio or whatever, I shall always remain a Chargers fan. I earned it. Second, after watching post game interviews, I never realized the Chargers were QB'd by Jethro Bodine..

I hate the Bradys, but will be rooting for them tomorrow.

Well. That's what you get when you do a favor for the Patriots.
