As a San Diego sports fan and a Padres fan I'm embarassed that the last two games haven't been sellouts. I've defended this fanbase for years, but I have to admit, pretty weak. I will be there Sun-Weds to support my team. I hope the crowds improve.

I went to the game last night, i was surprised there weren't more people there. Oktoberfest was pretty cool, i didn't go to the previous Beer Fest but i heard from friends that this one was much more organized.
Now they just need a Burrito Fest.

Any other baseball city in our position would've sold out every game over the weekend.

Any other baseball city in our position would've sold out every game over the weekend. Not Tampa Bay or Florida.

True, and that's the problem, we are on that level.

Season tickets is the key. It is hard to really generate a lot of walk-ups. The Padres have had a serious drop off in season ticket sales from the last two years of losing. Winning this year will mostly result in more fans next year. We are average 4K per game more than last year.

sorry but this team is boring....sure they are much better than we thought, however, who wants to go pay top dollar to watch a bunch of 205 hitters.
