So is it good or bad or just Congress pretending they are doing something? Depending where you read it could reduce the deficit $20-28 billion over 10 years. Sounds like some big money but when you look at what the expected deficit is in 10 years and see that the savings is less than 0.5% of the expected increase you realize it does nothing. The guys in Congress are too scared to make the tough decisions and are just continuing to do business as usual.

Pubs don't like tax increases... Dems don't like spending cuts... Neither likes the sequester. The cuts before and after this deal aren't significant. Doesn't solve any problems, but a promising step if we can finally agree on a budget. The cuts can be implemented more efficiently than under sequester. At some point, we will have to spend less and tax more. Until then, we're spinning our wheels. Oh, and the budget includes a new $6 fee for every one-way flight. As someone who travels a lot,

So the truth comes out. Republicans don't want to take any attention off Obamacare because they feel that mess will help them to victories in 14 and 16. So basically the Republican elected members of Congress are not going to do their jobs for the next 3 years. This isn't a game of chess it's your job.

Neither the Republicans or the Dems are willing to face up to the real issues. We need to dump them both and get closers to the Tea Party and incorporate some Libertarian Party ideas.

The Dems are probably worse because they are dumber and more beholden to unions.
