Ford Motor Company used that slogan back in 1946! And, guess what, Ford is again profitable. And all without any money from he Feds!
Do you think we will hear any congratulations from the Obama administration after hearing this news! Hmmm? They could say something such as this . . .
We are delighted to hear that Ford is now in the black. Unlike those other two turkeys that we poured billions of dollars into while at the same time kissing the rear ends of our political allies (i.e., the UAW), Ford has done it the old fashioned way.
I'm not holding my breath waiting to hear that kind of White House announcement!

I also noted that Ford has better quality now than GM or Chrysler. What a difference. I will look into Ford next time I am looking for a new car.

I own a 2002 Ford F-150. It's paid for, runs and rides well, though it's mileage is poor. (Which makes me wonder what Obama thinks the car companies are going to do regarding trucks if every vehicle is supposed to get 30-40 mpg.)
Re: GM and Chrysler. If either of those appears ready to go into liquidation, what is The One going to do? He will be in a very, very tough situation. The public will scream if he wants to do another bailout, but the UAW (and local politicians who don't want to see nearby plants closed) will scream just as loudly if he doesn't. More and more it is obvious that those two should have gone into traditional Chapter 11 rather than the politically motivated contrivance that the administration brokered.
