OK, we're trying this out by popular demand, so here are the ground rules.
1.) You can offer tickets for sale, or offer to give them away, but if you choose to sell them you cannot ask more than face value for them.
2.) Tickets must be valid. No counterfeit tickets. Breaking this rule will result in an immediate banning from Aztec Mesa. (We're assuming this won't be a problem, but we want to make this point clear anyway.)
3.) Tickets must go to Aztec fans or supporters. The sale of tickets to fans of the other school is prohibited. Let's keep the crowd on the Aztecs' side. (Again, we're assuming this won't be a problem, but we wanted to make this point clear as well.)
4.) If you take payment for tickets you MUST provide them as promised. Any fraud of any kind regarding the ticket exchange will result in an immediate banning. (See the notes in parentheses above.)
5.) To offer tickets you must be a board member for at least six months and have a post count of at least 50.
Aztec Mesa assumes no responsibility for the ticket exchange (sale or otherwise) and does not endorse any particular person offering tickets. The sale or exchange of tickets is an individual's transaction and is limited to the two parties involved.
That's it for now. Hopefully no further ground rules will be needed.
GO AZTECS!!

Thanks for doing this, mod. Please require the individuals posting tix to have a minimum number of posts before posting. Say, 20?

Thanks for doing this, mod. Please require the individuals posting tix to have a minimum number of posts before posting. Say, 20? I hadn't thought of that. I don't think there's a way to do that in the forum settings, but we can apply that as a rule and enforce it as the Mod team. Thanks!

My only comment is that will stop a long time season ticket holder-lurker trying to pass on some tix to aztec fans rather than pushing them to stubhub for anyone to purchase. Just a thought...

I see you're concern, and I thought about it. But I figure that this isn't their only means of getting rid of tix. They can also give their first name and have someone on here vouch for them. I hate to have such an opinion on this, but it'd be in the board's best interest to keep scalpers away. Those bitches.

Ticket exchange has a minimum you can offer for your tickets. I prefer to just give mine away usually, so love this sub-board.

I would like to suggest that it be allow that we sell the tickets for a market price. I have complete confidence that NO MATTER WHAT is charged for the tickets we put up here, it will be less than what is being offered on craigslist, ebay, and stubhub. You should be able to make a profit on your investment knowing that this forum is for diehards that would rather go to the game than sell their tickets. That's why it won't be egregious.

I agree, anyone trying to gouge will be harrassed mercilessly. The market will pressure that. No problems with this.

First off, good move, Mods.
Secondly, I think this will mostly police itself -- unless one of "those guys" wants to make this about himself too and meddles with p-b-p of all pending transactions. I think if a person with only a couple posts offers tickets most would tend to be leery anyway and would gravitate to either more expensive or worse seats from an established "psoter" just to be safe. That said, for all the legit longtime-lurkers out there who'd offer tickets, I'm sure someone with (either legit real world or opinion board persona) credibility would vouch for them.

Let's see. Do I measure up by post count?
Edit: Nope. Maybe next year.

This may just be semantics but is "face value" the cost written on the ticket or the actual cost of the ticket which is way more when you add in the "donation" you have to pay to get the better seats? If I add in the $850 "donation" required per season ticket and average it in, the cost goes up $50 a game. Shouldn't the season ticket owner be allowed to recover that too if someone is willing to pay it?

I like this idea and look at the "donation" as just that. Our commitment to the program. Face value as printed on ticket is reasonable. Nothing stopping anyone from going to stubhub if market value suggest significant value greater than face.
