I’m not going to read the article but just guess that it has to due with our spending being greater than our federal tax revenue which has a lot to do with the state of our economy right now. With our social programs almost being equal to our total federal tax revenue being the biggest culprit in why our spending is so much. So spending will keep increasing as Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid keep increasing and the poor economy limits our federal tax revenue.

I would check this out, but Heritage will probably just try to renege on everything in it 5 years from now.

It keeps going because of the demand and supply by the people.

Seriously, Heritage comes up with the healthcare plan that is implemented a decade later. During the debate over the program, Heritage comes out and says we no longer support our previous position. What is the point in reading Heritage reports, if they are likely to renege on them if the opposition party tries to implement their ideas? Seems like an effort in futility to me (then again, Repubs seem to enjoy efforts in futility).

So I suppose I should hardly be surprised by the (lack of a) response. Carry on!

While the total deficit has increased, the annual deficit is less than half as large as 2009. It is easy to see annual deficit becoming an annual surplus.

What do you expect when you think that obamakare is even close to what Heritage came up with a few years ago? Obamakare is turning out to be a disaster so you want a Conservative Think Tank to share the blame with the dimwits from the Obama Administration. Not worth discussing!
