Just think of how different the debate or discussion would be today if Bush would have tried his best to control spending with both his leadership and the veto pen.

Bush never tried to control spending. He was easily the biggest idiot we have ever had in the presidency. He did not understand anything about anything. Totally lost in every direction he looked.

That sounds a little like Jimmy Carter or Obama if Obama did not have a destructive agenda.

We are a Republic. As such, the voters are ultimately responsible for who and what we are. The government is our construction. That said, it is difficult to gather a sufficient number of people and dollars to overcome concentrated entities such as businesses and interest groups. Many people do not participate, because the concentrated entities frustrate them.
To me, the real culprit in our system is the way political contributions are structured to the advantage of concentrated wealth. It skews the political process and forces politicians to pander to those who have resources.

That sounds a little like Jimmy Carter or Obama if Obama did not have a destructive agenda. The Republican Party created their own monster because of greed. The Democrats are going to sweep California if we believe the science of polling. Why? Simple, over half of the people in California are poor. A great many of them used to be in the Middle Class, but that great strength of America has been trashed in the past ten years. Eight of those ten years we had a drooling idiot as president, The Chimp. The Chimp and his corrupt buddies ripped of the middle class and eviscerated it so that now the US is a nation of HAVES and HAVE NOTS. The HAVE NOTS are in the majority, and they will control future elections. IT WAS IDIOTIC OF THE REPUBLICAN PARTY TO DESTROY THE MIDDLE CLASS.
