In one sense the open and obvious attempt by Obama and his intellectual brown shirts to destroy or at least marginalize Fox News is comical. What's next? Will the administration command that the incoming tide at Virginia Beach turn and go back out to sea? Yes, very comical. On the other hand, what Obama is trying to do (let's not mince words; this supposedly open, honest, and post-partisan President is 100% behind this effort) is contemptible. Imagine the outrage if Bush had tried to intimidate MSNBC in this fashion! www.realclearpolitics.com/articles/2009/10/23/white_house_tactics_go_too_far.htmlAzWm

This White House (such as it is) is in danger of increasing the power and viewership of Fox. The unintended consequence of trying to single out and isolate Fox News will be to draw viewers to the Fox outlets to see what all the fuss is about.
The White House makes itself a laughing stock by making Fox a big part of the news rather than the War in Afghanistan and how it should be conducted or the economy and how the Obama Administration can reverse the damage that it is doing by the out of control spending that is the ill targeted Stimulus Bill.
I have not even mentioned how the denial of free and unfettered access for the press may be unconstitutional.
