stimulus money hard at work

This infuriates me to see just how stupid some of these politicians and local govt's are. how in the world can you get 111 mil and only create 55 jobs? They would have been better served to just hand 2 mil to 55 people and tell them to go on a spending spree and help the ecomony by buying products. My guess is this was similar to many other cities in the way they handled it. Obama administration should have tied a number of jobs needed to each million and held those receiving funds accountable if they did not reach their goal.

Federal Regulations on how the money can be spend sometimes make the process ludicrous. Remember part of the stimulus plan was to SAVE JOBS. Yes in this case it actually grew some, but State and community government were in positions where they were cutting jobs left and right. The proper analysis would be how many jobs did the extra money save? I doubt that they could quantify that.

Face the facts. The money would have been better usage given to Churches to fund jobs or just help people than have it go through Government. The inefficient government wastes more in administration than goes to jobs or helping people.
