As long as the Republican Party swings to the conservative (Strong Old Fashioned Christian Ultrarightists), they will continue to commit suicide.
The vast majority of people in this country are not Strong Old Fashioned Christian Ultrarightists.
In fact the general perception of the SOFCU Republicans is that they are Nutters who have theirs and are loudly proclaiming So Fug You to the masses.

One of those, "Jane you ignorant slut comments!"? (Now that is funny.) We do not really have a resident Nazi like ultra-rightist. I can try to do that, but when I play act that roll, I get banned on other boards. I was actually banned on two boards when I said that Iran should be nuked several years ago. And the funny thing is that I posted it on the Aztec Board, not on their boards. So, I am safer being a Liberal. Besides, it is a lot more fun to play with that role. The off hand comments can be hilarious, but only Win seems to appreciate them. If we do not have anybody who can pretend to be a nutter untra Right is Mightest, I will play the role. Tell us what you think this board needs? To make it funny, the ultra rightest has to appear to be a true nutter, so I will need something like a "Health Forum" where I can post about all the threats to humankind. So many people feel compelled to attack a true nutter (Off balance fruitcake, possibly in his dottage.). Boob could play that role, but he does not have enough imagination to play it well enough to make people laugh all the time. Tell us what you want and we will try to deliver. |

Funny thing is that O'Donnell is being attacked by the elitist left and the old guard GOP. If I were O'Donnell, the first ad I would feature Karl Rove attacking her from his chair on Fox and the next ad I would feature the arrogant left claiming the seat as Biden's and not theirs. I don't know about her campaign staff, but those realities could be rode into a victory anywhere in the country now given the failure of both the Democrat and Republican parties to govern well while they had power.
