Read that in detail and you will stop wondering why we are in such a pickle. If you don't want to read the horrible news, just look at the graphs. Still not sinking in and not agreeing with your belief system? Well then, just turn the graphs upside down and waddle your way around progressive heaven until you starve.

I wonder how much effect the proposition system has had on California's budget...not shifting the blame from the brain dead's that are our elected officials, but the voters certainly haven't done California any favors either. articles.latimes.com/2009/may/20/local/me-analysis20

As much as everyone thinks they know how to run government, "WE THE PEOPLE" are ill equipped to make rational decisions on such complicated issues that are brought up in propositions. The half assed legislative analysis aside, there is often no mention of impact to other existing programs, or any historical perspective included as well. Lots of people talk that government should be run like a business...well, when was the last time any corporation asked "the people" to make important strategic decisions about their business plans? That answer is NEVER.

That answer is NEVER. Very good points! I will bet there are many more ideas along those lines. I wonder how much more economic good would come if the money spent promoting the interests of both sides of a ballet proposition were to be put into buying goods sold in California stores.

The article seems to be dated "Summer 2010". LOL.
30 months and nothing has changed.
30 years from now, the state income tax rate will be 18%, the top income tax will be 16%, and State Unions will be demanding pay and benefit increases because they can't keep up!!!
LOL.
Liberal Swine, wallow in your mess.
