Bad news, Tom. Your donkeys stunk it up today. Close 2-point loss at Philly as the defense couldn't stop Michael Vick. Peyton fell short on a couple drives in the fourth quarter. More injuries are piling up. The Colts are a mess. Peyton has his work cut out for him but we know he'll pull through in the end. They're still tied for first place though. Home to Cincy next week.

Cincinnati's five turnovers really helped our Colts today, Tom. It was an ugly win but a win none the less. Coupled with Tennessee's loss our Colts are all alone in first place. Colts offense got their bad game out of their system. One Indy TD was a pick-6. The other was set up by a fumble recovery on the Bengal 25. Another Colt drive started on the Bengal 10 and we could only get a FG. Cincinnati was driving in Colt territory in the final three minutes when they fumbled again. Whew!!! What a nerve wracking win.
On the road at New England next week and then the big game with the Chargers. Goooooooooooo Colts!!! ;D

One of the few times i'll ever say "thank you donkeys". Chargers now one game back of both oakland and KC with plenty of games left. The division is wide open.

Actually "Donkeys" is Tom's lame nickname for the Colts because he's so jealous of their success. But the Broncos did play a good game and help out the Chargers, who need all the help they can get.

What a crappy football weekend. It's amazing how Peyton Manning and Ryan Lindley had almost identical games. Both threw for a ton of yards. Both had four TD passes. Both teams were 3-point underdogs. Both threw three killer interceptions. Both had a chance to win the game with a last minute drive. Both last minute drives ended with horribly thrown interceptions with less than two minutes left. The Colts are just crippled with injuries. Austin Collie started for the first time in two weeks but was hurt again and didn't play the second half. They have a bunch of no-names out there. Three of their TDs were scored by Blair White (2) and Gijon Robinson. Who? A couple of starting LBs missed the game. The Colt defense was awful until the fourth quarter. Colts were down, 31-14, in the fourth quarter but still almost pulled it out. It was so frustrating to watch it slip away, just like the Aztec game the night before. Fortunately the next game is home to the Chargers. Kind of like a bye week ;D. I'm sure Philip Rivers will be unable to solve the great Colt pass defense. Welcome to Lucas Oil Stadium. Now excuse me as I just want to forget this weekend.

Rivers throws for 300 and 3 touchdowns against the Dolts. Is that all? Hey, I might take that. Keep the Chargers under 30 and I'll be happy.

Oh Geez!! WTF was that? :oThe Colts are doing their impression of the Roman Empire. OL can't block. Linkenbach was schooled on that one play where the Charger practically picked him up and tossed him at Manning for a sack. That's the best we got? Too many injuries on defense and the starters weren't that good to begin with. 24 yards rushing. Wow. That's beyond pathetic. Manning is collapsing under the pressure of trying to do everything. Hopefully our Colts can regroup and at least make the playoffs for the ninth straight year. Very tight division. Colt and Jags tied, Tenn and Houston one back. Colts host Dallas next week. Watch them make Kitna look like Joe Montana.

Oh WTF. Where do I begin? Gather around Colt fans, or should I say circle the wagons. The wheels have come off. The GOAT (Greatest Of All Time) Peyton (only first name necessary, kind of like Cher, Oprah, etc) threw four more picks and just like against the Chargers, two were returned for touchdowns. Reggie Wayne had 200 receiving yards but made a huge drop in OT that forced a Colt punt on their first possession. Dallas kicked a FG to take what would have been a 30-28 lead late but the Colts Foster was called for "leverage" and Dallas turned their FG into a TD. Peyton did engineer a last minute drive to tie the game with less than 30 seconds left in regulation. However he threw a pick on the Colts second OT possession to set up Dallas' game winning FG. Colts rushed for a whopping 40 yards but 11 of that was on a wide receiver end around. But on the positive side... 1) The Colts still control their on fate. Win the last four and they're in the playoffs. 2) Chargers lost so I don't have to listen to their fans' crap all week. Next game Thursday night at Tennessee. GO COLTS!!!!!!!!

I know Tom still reads this in AztecMesa exile so I'll keep giving him reports on his beloved Colts. ;D Losing streak is finally over though there are still problems with the "shoe". Tennessee hadn't scored a TD in three game before Thursday but had no problem getting four of them on the Colt defense. Peyton looked good again and Adam V. was clutch on his three FGs. Coach Jim Caldwell once again showed he has terrible clock management right before halftime. He is absolutely clueless. The sooner he's fired the better. Hopefully the 10 days rest before the HUGE Jacksonville game will be enough for the Colts to get some injured players back. It will probably come down to wire this season. Go Raiders...beat the Jags Sunday.

Don't bury the Colts yet. They led all the way but Jacksonville kept coming back. Jax tried an onsides kick with less than two minutes to go, down by three. Nervous time. We all remember the Super Bowl . However Tyjuan Hagler returned it 41 yards for a TD to ice the game for Indy. Odd play you don't see too often. Colts did their Charger impersonation by giving up a punt return for a TD earlier in the game. Colts control their destiny. They win @oakland and home to Tennessee and they're in the playoffs for the 9th straight year. Come on, Tom. Hop on board. I know you're reading this from Exile Island. GO COLTS.

The Colts again did their Charger impersonation by letting the Raiders return the opening kickoff for a TD. But after that they got their act together. Oakland got their only other TD in the final two minutes on the Colts ultra too soft prevent defense. The Colts also gave up their second 59-yard FG of the year. We make kickers look good. Colt running game was good for the second week in a row. We're getting ready for the playoff run. Here it goes.
Colt win over Tennessee or a Jax loss to Houston puts the Colts in the playoffs for the ninth straight year. I'm trying not to get my hopes up but I can't help it. Hail Peyton.
Tom, I know you're reading this in exile. I've saved you a seat on the Colts bandwagon. Come on over since your Chargers went belly up. Don't feel bad. I'm sure Norv will turn things around next season. ;D

Nice loss to open the season Poway! You guys are on your way down. You guys will be in a fight to make the playoffs this year. Texans and Titans will be right there with you to make the playoffs. And of course I hope you don't make it in. ;D Yes, this is how ol' Tom opened this thread nearly four months ago. He was partially right in that the Colts had to fight to make the playoffs. Oddly enough it wasn't the Titans and Texans that were right there with them but the Jaguars...and his hopes were dashed as the Colts made the playoffs for the ninth year in a row. I think it's time to let Tom out of his cage. It would have been such fun to tell him that Charlie freaking Whitehurst will be in the playoffs along with Tomlinson and Cromarte. Then the Chargers move down a few spots in the draft buy winning a meaningless game. I will admit that one good thing about the Colt win today is they'll play Kansas City next year instead of the Chargers. I'll think I'll start a new Colts Super Bowl XLV thread. Tom, go to another computer and join in. GO BLUE. GO COLTS. HAIL PEYTON. I'll save a few seats on the bandwagon for all of you. ;D
