Just like the past few games, Aztecs take one offensive shot, and DONE !
No rebounding....one lonely guy underneath the basket against 4 Wyoming players....
The announcers of the game said Wyoming was "undersized" - - - and we STILL CANNOT OUTREBOUND THEM at either end !
PATHETIC !

Skylar Spencer needs to be playing - - - a LOT MORE !
Absolutely pathetic rebounding on offensive and defensive boards is killing this team.
You cannot win games shooting a once-and-done each time you go down the court.
When the Aztecs take a shot, have you noticed there is only one Aztec under the glass...usually against 3 or 4 opposition guys under the glass ?
Watch next time - - when an Aztec shoots, 3 of the 4 other guys on the court are already heading back on defense !!!!! Nobody sticks around to grab a rebound....its like it's assumed our guy will miss, and everyone hauls ass back to defend !
Mathematical probabilities show it is impossible to win on a 1-and-done each time down the court !

One or two passes then they shot, and of course miss, and no one is under the basket for a rebound. The way they've been shooting the ball, everyone should be crashing the boards after a "brick" goes up!!

Maybe they should watch how CSU, Vegas and the Cowchips go the boards........oh wait! we have played them already. Evidently our learning curve is sadly LOW.

The Aztecs got 11 offensive rebounds 11 out of 43. That means we did out rebound Wyoming by a decent margin. Defensive Rebounding Percentage86.7% SDSU - Outstanding74.4% Wyo - Slightly above Average. ----------------------------------------------- 12.3% SDSU rebounding advantage - very good.

Maybe this is just my high school basketball education showing, but it seems to me if Rahon followed his shot, he would have at least a rebound per game.

Aztecs problem is SELFISHNESS! No one can defend, rebound, get an assist and etc... because the players are into their STATS!
That's the problem, pure and simple! When the coach and players decide to put a stop to the SELFISH play, Aztecs will get better!

Following your shot could be something that is not part of the plan. You can't have all players going for offensive rebounds. You need at least 2 players back to stop fast breaks when the opponents get the defensive rebounds.

Yeah, I could see this which is why I qualified my statement, I think Rahon stand out to me in this instance because he tends to leave it short pretty often. I dunno, it definitely seems like this team has less players going for rebounds than other teams which I am sure is strategy, but seems like it can be overboard at times. Not trying to criticize or act like I know more than the coaches, but just appears that way to me.

The person most often accused of selfishness is Jamaal... who not only leads us in scoring and rebounding, but also in assists... .6 per game more than our point guard... and is 6th in the conference in per-game assists. If that's "selfish", I'll take it.

JJ needs to step up in the rebounding department. If not i would like to see Skylar and Stephens playing together up front.
