Good. At least he has put his feet on Super Bowl turf. Unlike, ahem, the last caller of signals for the Bolts.

Good. At least he has put his feet on Super Bowl turf. Unlike, ahem, the last caller of signals for the Bolts. Do you mean Norv Turner? The guy who won two Super Bowls as OC for the Cowboys and is widely credited with creating the Aikman-Smith--Irvin Cerberus of the early 90's? I think it is a good thing Norv is gone too but to come on here and say that Whisenhunt has better credentials than Turner is showing ignorance.

Except this isn't 1995 anymore. Norv's playcalling has become stale, predictable and downright horrendous in games. Huge, enormous upgrade in the staff on paper.

I don't disagree, but the dig was unnecessary and factually inaccurate. The fact that Norv was rehired to an OC position so quickly speaks to his standing in the league. I doubt he gets another chance to HC (he clearly doesn't deserve it) but he will be able to OC as long as he wants in the NFL.

Whisenhunt won the SB as OC of the Steelers in 2005 (modern era) and as head coach got his team to the SB in 2008. Something Norv just dreamed about. If Norv can take Weeden and make them SB participants, I'll eat my words. But all he seemed to do here was take a great, explosive offensive team and run them down the gutter. It's been a long time since Norv had the ability to guide an offense to the SB. I'll take Whisenhunt in a heartbeat.

Part of the reason Norv was hired by Cleveland is because Chudzinski was on staff here (Antonio's first TE coach) before he left for an offensive coordinator job himself.
