Since Jamaal's getting all the love for the dunk with multiple threads... For those of us with outside game (You know, like me, and Larry Legend, and Downtown Freddy Brown), I feel obligated to give ode to Rahon's corner 3:
Catch and shoot from about a foot from the baseline, fade away further upon release into baseline corner and almost into the bench to take a seat, defender closing in on him rapidly, ball goes over the top corner of the backboard before hitting nothing but net. That shot was insane.
Btw, did you notice how he finally broke loose from the outside? Three options for a shooter to get rolling: Earn your way to the free throw line; Work your way into a mid-range jumper; Or find a way to get open at the top of the arc.
His first trey was top of the key. Wide open. Easiest three-pointer there is on the floor when it's open. From that point forward, it was on for Rahon.
Great game, James.

He really kept us in the game when we were struggling to score. Played really nice d too.

I want to see James put together back to back games of good shooting and I'd like to see he and Tapley both hot at the same time.

It was a heck of a shot and hopefully this game will get him going. When Rahon just lets the shots come to him he can be as dangerous a shooter as we have.

I have noticed that Rahon has a tendency to drift right or left on a lot of his shots. When he does that, he makes about 20% of them. When he squares up and just jumps straight up and down, he nails over 50%.
Last night he hit some really big shots. And with Tapley almost nonexistent, he is a big reason why we won the game.

They need to make sure he starts out with an open look and not forced. He is lethal after he makes his first shot

Try to create...not usually very good.
Catch and shoot? Lookout when his stroke is going.
We all prefer the latter.
