Solid hire. Like has been said earlier, dude still has a ton of pull in the LA area.

Solid hire. Like has been said earlier, dude still has a ton of pull in the LA area. You think he has any Louisiana influence after his stint with Tulane as well? THAT would be pretty f'n awesome as well. i however, just like another pointed out, really hope Horton stays and continues to grow within our staff.

He'll stay, unless he gets poached by a Big 4 school.

Ironic that Bob was the QB for San Francisco State in 1966 or 67 when we played in the Camelia Bowl. Welcome Coach Toledo!

Now that he's employed by the school that made Marshall Faulk famous, that should get him more attention in Louisiana. Oldie Out

I look forward to what Toledo will do with the Aztec O.
I wonder if Rocky reached out to Tim Brewster again? IIRC, he was Rocky's first choice before he hired Ludwig.

Good hire. Very good offensive mind, fits well with coaching staff and existing skill on roster, experience and will boost recruiting.

This is a good hire. Marcus Jones should be happy. I think SDSU is gaining a reputation of attracting good coaches and transfers from top shelf programs. Sure can't hurt!

Reposting this... From an article a few years ago in reference to him taking back play calling duties. theadvocate.com/sports/723109-64/story.html“You’ve got to try to threaten deep,” Toledo said. “You have to make them respect the field vertically. I don’t think we did that very well last year. We were much more of a nickel, dime type of passing game while trying to get guys to run after the catch. Well, we didn’t run very well after the catch to be honest with you. “My philosophy is we are going to run the ball, run the ball and get people in the box, and then we are going to take advantage of single coverage. We are going to go deep. So you’ll see us take four or five shots at least during the course of the game.”

Something tells me that Toledo might make UCLA transfer Malcolm Jones his starting RB by opening day.
Oldie Out

Don't worry, everyone hates an OC eventually, it's Newton's second law of coaching mechanics

Don't worry, everyone hates an OC eventually, it's Newton's second law of coaching mechanics How long after our first 300 yard rushing game do the "predictable" offense threads start? Lol

Lol We'll have who, WYO, UNM at home this year? So after we grind one out against one of them, the SD fans will only come out if we throw the ball twice a snap p-sots will inevitably follow.
