The last 15 games they havent scored 5 runs once. The prior 15 games they averaged 5 runs a game. This worm will turn again. Hopefully it will be soon.

Shut out Friday. One run Saturday. Sunday...our best pitcher is on the mound but the Padres are trailing, 3-0, in the thrird. Game over. We're tied for first heading to Colorado tomorrow. This team just can't hit.

In a reality check, I asked myself, if someone told you at the start of the season that the Padres would be tied for first in September would you ecstatic? Heck yes, I told myself!!!!!!!!
I'm ecstatic. Reality check. Try it, you might not be as pissed anymore.

I decided to enjoy the ride since I never expected to have something to cheer about in September at the beginning of the season. I understand people being upset at losing the big lead, but this is just how I'm choosing to handle it.

Now let's get all the players hot together for a month - September 13-October 13. FYI: The Rockies have not given up a lot of runs at home. The Padres scoring many runs at Coors is a legit accomplishment. Colorado ERA at home 4.20, not much worse then their 3.89 ERA on the road. 0.31 runs per game or less than a single run in a 3 game series.
