Nice find Steve. It reminds me of the Jackasses that start celebrating with the football around the 10 yard line, then promptly get drilled from behind and cough up the football to the other team. Go figure. I guess that's what egos have evolved into now a days.

Blah blah blah. You find a link to an Arabic soccer game with a French announcer to prove your point? Didn't you say you were a selfish basketball player? Besides I guarantee players now a days do way more for charity and giving to others than they did in your era.

It is the same as players today in basketball, looking into the camera, while the other team is going the other way for an open basket... Idiots celeberating a touchdown only to have ball tipped out of their hands on the 5... Morons dunking on people for 2 damn points and yelling at the opposing player, only to get a T....The other team hits the free throw, gets the ball out of bounds and hits basket.....Nice, 2 for 3 trade... Add to that a player in college that scores and looks into the stands for his friends and family to point at them... ME....ME....ME!!!! What a joke. Just play the damn game.

And for years (about 25 years) I have known that I was wrong. Why do you think I bring it up all the time? It is so that some of you will get it (hopefully)....TEAM RULES!!! Not "MEEEE".

Besides I guarantee players now a days do way more for charity and giving to others than they did in your era. Of course. That's because they make way way more than players did in past eras. Go back and start at 1960 and compare the price gap between between the average blue collar salaries verses the pro athletes salaries. Charted on a graph the gap would grow exponentially as the years go on. Plus, there are a lot more ways to help out nowadays than before. Plus, when players of past generations helped out, there wasn't all the different types of media coverage that there is today. So a lot of the helping was done without anybody knowing it. But none of this is the point of this thread. Sportsmanship is slowly losing ground to one-upmanship in todays world. And the younger generation is brought up believing that's the way it's supposed to be. They honestly don't see anything wrong with dancing, prancing, and disrespecting players on the other team. I say it's wrong, you say it's right. It's all just a matter of perspective.

A guy now would rather try a crazy dunk (or alley oop pass) and miss, instead of going to the hole and laying the ball in. Hey, one counts for 2 points, and the other is "0". Whats worse is the FANS would rather see the crazy dunk or risky alley oop, instead of scoring on a layup. And glad I wasn't the only one confused as to why TecPride brought charity work into the conversation.
