B*st*rd!!!
I'm going to find this guy and cut his johnson off! How dare he slot us to lose in the second frame. And this from the same guy who was among the first to pimp Kawhi and our '10/'11 team.
IMO, this is a must-win tourney for SDSU if we want to be a major player on the national hoops stage in the same manner that the 34-win team was two years ago. If we win this tourney, we'll be Top 10 and have an opportunity at a 1, 2, or 3 seed, assuming we're able to wade through a very tough MGC schedule with only 3 or 4 losses.
If we lose to Ole Miss or even UofA, we'll merely be a second-tier team -- good enough for the Top 25, but without a big signature/statement win.

Ole miss didn't look like anything special versus LMU, anything can happen, but I would be quite surprised if they beat us

I watched Ole Miss last night barely beat Loyola M. I would have to say I was very unimpressed with their performance and believe that us, UNLV, New Mexico, Boise St., Wyoming, and Colorado St. are probably all better than Ole Miss.

This guy also claims he wants to see SDSU VS. ZONA to.So i dont know what he really wants. The better matchup is obviously 18 vs. 4 , but in my opnion if we can matchup with their size and conatin lyons to a "mediocre " game which will be tough , than we have a great chance to win.Skylar will be big in this tourney bank it!!!

If we win our first game we get to play 2 of the following 3 teams.
Expected Records and RPI from RPI Forecast 20-8 Miami #17.4 23-6 Mississippi #30.8 24-4 Arizona #10.3
If we lose our first game we will get locked into two more bad RPI games against teams with bad records.
The game against San Francisco is the most important game.

Im not worried about Ole Miss; not saying they can't win (on any given day) simply that theyve built up a resume on weak competition, and are style that should give us trouble.
LMU was one of the best teams theyve played all year. The lost to middle tenn. and pulled away late to beat rutgers at home. Other than that theyve pounded bad teams, and I mean worse than UCSB/USD type teams.
Their bigs are similar to ours in that they run the floor, particularly Holloway, but we are taller and every bit as athletic. And you mix in Johnson for about 10 minutes and I think we can match their muscle. Their top scorer is a volume three point shooter, and when those guys get hot there is almost nothing you can do to stop them. But its not as if he is larry bird, heck hes not even Chase Tapley. They are solid on the glass offensively though so we need to be in position.
Defensively they cause turnovers, and that may be our Achilles heel; but with that comes a lot of fouls. I think we'll get to the line A LOT this game, and that should give us an edge.

Also, my guess is that he picked Ole' Miss just to not take the favorites all the way.

Aside from Buckner blocking a couple of shots and Marshall Henderson sinking a few threes, Ole Miss didn't pass the eye test at LMU. Figure they sleepwalked a little bit, but their record is also nothing special. It wouldn't surprise me to see Indiana State beat them.
USF actually scares me a little. They played Stanford tough and beat St John's. They've lost three straight since, so of course you figure we win, but I'm still a little nervous.

We absolutely have to get to the finals in this tournament. I fully expect U of A to be an Elite 8 team this season (or better)....so a competitive L in that game isn't a dagger to the heart. We can't lay an egg against USF in the first round, so the most important game for right now is the next one on the schedule.

The game against San Francisco is the most important game. Most likely, but not for sure. If we can be upset then there is no reason that Hawaii, Indiana St, or ETSU can't get a win or two
