Hard to tell. The Beach is down this year. SC definitely has more offensive balance than last season. But that's a game the Aztecs pretty much cannot lose. We're better and deeper.

Long Beach State is still without Keala King, Tony Freeland, and Edgar Garibay. They're going to be much better when those guys become eligible in December. Right now, it's James Ennis, Mike Caffey, and Dan Jennings surrounded by a bunch of freshman and bench players.

I did not see the USC game, but I did watch the UC Irvine vs UCLA game. UCLA is slow and they did not impress me very much. If they don't have Shabazz December 1st, we are going to kick some butt!

That was back when Fish couldn't find a big man. Garibay looked like he was going to come to the Mesa, but then had some qualifying issues and went to a hoops prep school before going to LMU and now LBSU. He's only a junior after receiving a medical redshirt. Coulda used him back in the day.

I saw them on the New Opening of Pauley vs. Indiana St., and they looked a little slow at first, but got going, and their man who wears No.3 is a great shooter (on 3's), and very good player. Forgot his name, but don't judge UCLA on one game like that. Just like you wouldn't want them to judge us on our opening against the 'Cuse. Overall I believe we will have a very good, and tough game against them on the 1st. I look forward to it, and have my tix ready to go. Go Aztecs!!!
