I know this sounds homerish and PPL are going to rip for this but is there any NBA comparison for these two? I think there both first round picks with Franklin going between picks 17-25 and Tapley going somewhere in the last few picks because he can score off the bench and play backup PG.

Franklin will probably be a late first rounder but could be higher depending on how he plays this year. No way tap gets in the first round, maybe, maybe a 2nd round if he kills it this year but I see him being undrafted but definitely battling for roster spots in the NBA

Why couldn't he get picked in the late first those picks contracts aren't guaranteed plus the guy can score, defend, and play both guard positions

Don't get me wrong he's definitely good enough to play in the league he just won't be a first round pick.

Dude Again I was talking about when we play Teams that have a huge Size advantage on us I was not talking about in general.

It does not matter what scenario you are talking about, it is straight up silly to sit a player that you think is an NBA first rounder.

Its not silly if your getting pounded inside and your shots not falling which has happened the last two times he have played a team that had a huge size advantage against us.It would be better to bring him off the bench in a close game and let him have more room to shot after we've worked the ball inside for the first part of the game.

It has nothing to do with him as a player smart guy it's about getting better size in the game for an under sized team thats getting killed down low DUH!!!

I think your argument is that if we play a team with taller players, like Syracuse, we need to play a tall lineup. Your argument seems to be that taller players mean better teams. If that is how you think, why wouldn't we always want to play a taller lineup, even against a shorter team? Wouldn't it create a mismatch similar to the Syracuse situation? FYI, there is a reason why teams tend to have a PG and a shooting guard.

No my argument is taller teams mean they score more in the paint and dont allow us those same oppertunites and our shooters cant be counted on to make up the difference. Therefore if we went to a bigger lineup we would have more chances to score inside and limit the amount of damage they do inside and free up our shooters for more open looks doesn't that make since? I dont want us to take our best players off the court if there is no advantage to it why would it matter if the team we are playing is smaller or equal size to us cause we know they wont dominate in the paint meaning we can still score with out going to a bigger line up do you understand what I'm saying?

No way Tapley is getting drafted. Not even on the scouts radar.

I could see C Tap thriving on a team like the Spurs. NBA: Nothing But Aztecs. If he as some great games in the NCAA tourney he could get a shot.

No way Tapley is getting drafted. Not even on the scouts radar. Seriously? That's a stupidComment a guy that can pass, defend and score like He can is on the scouts radar he may not be a first round pick but I bet teams will for sure take a chance in the second round. Not to mention He's a great leader that will make a locker room better.

No way Tapley is getting drafted. Not even on the scouts radar. If we make an NCAA run to the Final Four or even Elite 8, Tapley will definitely get some consideration - for at least round 2. The dude does everything very well.

The dude does everything very well. First of all were nowhere near elite 8 or final 4 caliber. We are ranked #334 of 339 in free throw percentage as a team. That's a guaranteed loss in a tight game. Tapley is a good player but has a very hard time creating his own shots against better teams. Scouts aren't looking at him.

What freaking surfboard did you just get off of? Can't create his own shot?
Next time you are at Viejas Arena, look up at the Banners. He came to San Diego State in 2009. Correct me if I am incorrect, but I looked up at the Banners tonight and I saw MWC 2010, MWC 2011, Sweet Sixteen and MWC 2012 banners!
He has been at San Diego State for 3 years and counting. Dude, this cat put up double-digits points in MWC tournament with a broken hand as a Freshman!
You may be right that he is not a NBA radar, but I would be willing to wager you that he can create his own shot against your ASS!
And, don't tell anyone that I made this statement. He (Chase) has the ability and will DUNK on your ASS! Go Aztecs!

Tapley is a good player but has a very hard time creating his own shots against better teams. Scouts aren't looking at him. Tapley hits a Higher percentage of difficult shot than anybody I've ever seen at SDSU. He creates shots for himself all the time. I don't think he's NBA level, just because he doesn't have the size for a 2 or the quickness for a 1 but he's definitely going to make a nice career playing hoops somewhere.
