It is sad what it has come to because this team does have a ton of talent on the offensive side of the ball. I am not a big fan of Dilley but other than that the offensive line looks good. Katz frankly looks poorly coached but he is a senior so no excuses, that being said when he isn't having happy feet he is pretty good. Muema is a beast, Kazee is good for a backup. Escobar is a terrific TE, WR corps with Ruffin and Butler is decent (though Sandifer doesn't look near 100% yet). Sad to see all that talent go to waste.

Definitely a shame...but the real issue with this team is the defense

Not trying to kick you when you are down, but our defense deserves some credit here. We actually shut that offensive talent of yours down fairly well. ~ Muema and Kazee had only 93 yards combined -- they had more than 250 last week. ~ Your quarterback was your leading rusher (89 yards), 67 of which came when we he was flushed out of the pocket and took off. ~ Discount that 67 yard scamper and your running game netted only 112 yards while you had only 272 yards of total offense -- not much at all for a "smash mouth" offense. ~ Your offense scored only 26 points -- and two of those touchdowns came off of shortened fields following turnovers. Hard to imagine that a 40 point output sprang from a very good defensive effort -- and a lot of people are saying that both defenses out there sucked. But ours did very well. Yoda out... .

Our QB is averaging like 170 t uyards a agme hwe si nto ogng to beat you, The offfense is not adapted to his abiities. Too many wr in the rotation and that requires adjustments by the QB. No tone draw play? N Hardlt any screens or even an option. thsi is the worst staff since the days of Ton Craft. congrats to Dave Schram on calling a great game.

Katz had a bad day it happens, he missed quite a few open targets, your defense was not impressive. I didn't see the game; only listened to it on KOGO on line. But even if what you say is true, that doesn't account for your rushing stats. Yoda out... .

Your team is much better than SJSU as you said on another thread. However, you need to consider that we turned the ball over to you five times. That had a lot to do with the yardage differential in the two games.

Your auto-correct was completely overwhelmed during that post... Can we get a translator for the first part of that post please? There are medical reasons for the mistakes. One problem with people on this board is that they are overly critical. That's one reason why Fembone no longer reads this stuff.

I like what the OC has done the last few games. Didn't care for him at all last year. Really like the running game.

You are so spot on... Our offense is mediocre at best... Not one offensive player is a legitimate threat... The best weapon we have is Escobar, he lacks the speed required to be a true offensive weapon... Receivers lack that special something... There was a time where we had a steady stream of athletes at receiver - with loads of speed... RB's are average at best... I'm sorry but the whole team is average... I thought we had better players than this... A good defense, not a even a great defense would shut us out...

I thought we had better players than this... A good defense, not a even a great defense would shut us out... I may post this as a separate thread because I'm not sure that it doesn't deserve one. But I think you guys are being way too hard on your team. There is no shame losing to a PAC 12 Washington on the road. You played them respectively and they are a good team -- they just beat #8 Stanford. This year at least, there is no shame in losing to San Jose State. They are a good team, 4-1 at this point, with a shutout of Navy on the road. Their only loss was a near upset of Stanford on the road. Granted, this is the one that got away; you dominated the game statistically and found a way to lose. But you dominated a good team and I would encourage you to hold on to that takeaway. And there is no shame in losing to Fresno. Sorry, like it our not, our team is better than yours. We "defeated" Oregon in the second half on the road -- which I grant you is a worthless moral victory. But they kept their starters in until the end of the game so it is not without some meeting. And we totally creamed Colorado, as well as winning comfortably over an FCS school. Tulsa was our San Jose State; we let that one get away despite clearly being the better team (in my view anyway). So you're 2-3 when, based on talent alone, you should probably be 3-2. Big Whoop. Look at your schedule. In my view, every one of your remaining games is winnable -- although winning on the road at Nevada and Boise will obviously be tough. It just seems a little premature to be bringing out the lifeboats, making the captain walk the plank and scuttling the ship. Enjoy the season -- you're still likely to end up with 7 or 8 wins. Yoda out... .

About as bad as you can can get... The current and next up group of offensive talent is average...no special offensive studs on the horizon... Offensive studs!!! We've always had them!!! I can't remember the last time we didn't have an offensive stud???

That's only the most glaringly wrong thing you say. Lockett is definitely a threat, as is Ruffin. Problem is the line can't hold their blocks long enough for any long patterns to develop. They're fine at run blocking but lousy at pass blocking. Although Ludwig has done a good job overall, he needs to start rolling Katz out to try to give him a liittle more time.

When we're on the right track... we're on the wrong train. When we're on the right train we're on the wrong track. We do it so well, it almost makes one wonder if its rehearsed. ;D
