Now you know why Obama returned the bust of Wnston Churchill !!
........................................................................................................... "How dreadful are the curses which Mohammedanism lays on its votaries! Besides the fanatical frenzy, which is as dangerous in a man as hydrophobia in a dog, there is this fearful fatalistic apathy. The effects are apparent in many countries. Improvident habits, slovenly systems of agriculture, sluggish methods of commerce, and insecurity of property exist wherever the followers of the Prophet rule or live. A degraded sensualism deprives this life of its grace and refinement; the next of its dignity and sanctity. The fact that in Mohammedan law every woman must belong to some man as his absolute property—either as a child, a wife, or a concubine—must delay the final extinction of slavery until the faith of Islam has ceased to be a great power among men. Individual Moslems may show splendid qualities. Thousands become the brave and loyal soldiers of the Queen: all know how to die. But the influence of the religion paralyzes the social development of those who follow it. No stronger retrograde force exists in the world. Far from being moribund, Mohammedanism is a militant and proseltyzing faith. It has already spread throughout Central Africa, raising fearless warriors at every step; and were it not that Christianity is sheltered in the strong arms of science—the science against which it had vainly struggled—the civilization of modern Europe might fall, as fell the civilization of ancient Rome." Winston Churchill

That and England represents colonialism to him, and he despises that thanks to his kenya roots.

Then I stand corrected if this is true.

Looks like Charles K. was correct. It is also true according to this link that everyone is right. You can bet your sweet bippy that what I said to start this thread is also why even the replica is not in the Oval Office. xrl.us/bnq84k

It's amazing to me that anyone who has been paying attention could still doubt that BHO in fact slapped our oldest and strongest ally (sorry, France.) in the face by returning a bust of Churchill. Why would this President do such a thing? Put the bust in some other location, perhaps. But send it back?
Obama tires very hard not to offend Muslims and Muslim dominated countries. On the other hand, offending an ally apparently does not faze him. Let's keep in mind that Churchill, in addition to being a world leader against fascism, was by birth half American!
(Incidentally, what Churchill himself said is immaterial in this matter. The Brits are strong allies that do not deserve the finger in the eye that our President gave them. If Obama is so brilliant, how could he not have foreseen how insulting his action would be?)

If you read my link you'd know that the bust was moved from the Oval Office to the President's private residence. 2. Regarding France & England; you might read a bit about the amount of help that France provided to us during the Revolutionary War. Without it, we would not have won. The aid was a massive drain on the French and was one of the root causes of the French Revolution.

AzWm When Romney was in England for the Olympics he expressed his fear that England was not up to the task of running the Olympics. The Mayor of London called out Mitty for that insult at a public rally. William, do you really think that returning a loaned bust after the term of the loan ended was worse than that? Just how silly are you? Wait, you don't have to answer that. I already know.

(Check this out. . . www.mediaite.com/online/british-embassy-confirms-krauthammer-right-white-house-wrong-churchill-bust-returned-in-2009/) Holy cow, man, what's so hard to understand here? And, just to counter the retort you were about to make, here is futher information from the same source (emphasis mine) . . . gbearc • 2 months ago • parent
That's not true. The original press release by the British Embassy said they asked the Obama admin. if they wanted to keep it and they said NO. What was different about this particular Churchill bust and why it was so insulting is that it was a SPECIFIC gift from the UK to the US following 9/11. If Obama had had a clue, he would have said something like this: "We would be delighted to continue displaying this treasured token of the regard shown us by the United Kingdom." It was a stupid move, among many others, that demonstrates how uniquely unqualified Barrack Obama was to be President of the United States. This action is a bit like a groom going out of his way to insult the bride's favorite uncle during the happy couple's wedding reception. (By the way, I am quite aware of the aid given to us by France in the Revolutionary War. I wonder if, without resorting to my link, you could explain the importance of the Battle of the Virginia Capes? www.britannica.com/EBchecked/topic/630029/Battle-of-Virginia-Capes)AzWm PS: I'm still waiting for the President to release all his grades AND any major papers he wrote as a college student. A lot of questions about BHO's philosophies and prejudices might be answered if we knew what was studying in those days. We might also find out whether he applied for aid as a foreign student at Occidental College.

Not to drift too far off topic, I would add that after the debate performance Tuesday it would be safe to say that there is no original work or thought from obama in existence. That said, you will have a long wait to see anything released.
