He's been just awful lately, his ERA is well over 5 now.
Let Stauffer take his rotation spot in September, he couldn't do any worse and may be better.

I can't argue with this idea. With the new pitchers being called up we can experiment a little bit.

Stauffer will start Saturday.
It looks like Stauffer and Luebke are in the rotation for the duration.
Garland Richard Stauffer Latos Luebke

It will give the Padres pitchers 5 days rest. Those days can be applied any way the Padres want. For instance: Latos 3 extra days rest, Leubke, and Richard 1 extra rest day each.

Didn't his brother die just a little before? A 5 ERA with a heavy heart is pretty damn impressive to me.

If we had kept Kevin North Corriea maybe we would be 13 games back at the break instead of 12. NEWS FLASH: THE PADRES SUCK AND DON'T DESERVE CREDIT FOR SMALL MOVES THAT MAY HAVE PAID OFF IN MINOR WAYS WHEN WE'RE IN DEAD LAST WITH OR WITH OUT THEM.
