I looked at the game replay. Al Borges had great play calling in the first half. AZTECS overall were just as young on defense and offense as they are going into 2012 season. Lindley, Brown, DeMarco stepped up. AZTECS need to have a fast start like that against the Huskies, and bring the D from the whistle. Offensive Coordinator and Defensive Coordinator need to be on their game against Huskies. ....Go STATE... walkonfan

I believe that SDSU has a good chance to win this game. Of course I say that not having seen the new QB or some of the new OL. I am going on the assumption that those two positions will be decent or at least productive. If that is true then SDSU will have some advantages. The first being a mobile QB. Think more like the Utah QB from when they beat Alabama. That was a similar offense Ludwig ran then as he runs now. The difference being that last year Lindley couldn't run, therefore that takes away a dynamic from the offense. I believe Ludwig will put that dynamic back in this year. If he does I think we will catch their defense off guard early in the game.
There are many other reasons why I think the Aztecs win this game but like every other game they have to prove it by doing it. Wouldn't surprise me if SDSU wins and wouldn't surprise me if they lost. I don't think they lose by more then ten points though.

Borges is gone, Long gone. He opened up in spread that game assuming it would be a shootout and it was, Lindley threw a bad pick in the 2nd half but the defense just collapsed in that game. Ludwig was outlandishly vanilla last year, let's hope that was just the transition year - hopefully he'll spice it up a bit - Borges going 4 and 5 wrs vs. Utah and Navy that year was a thing of beauty with how out of character for us that was
